Are you saying that it's a good thing, or bad thing?
Please elaborate, because now you've got me curious.
"...Cos I thought Gears 2 looked immense and I'm currently playing MGS for the first time and can't see how the graphics are better..."
Further to careful inspection, I'm hard pressed to agree with you that yes, Gears 2 does indeed have the graphical edge over MGS.
But you've gotta admit that MGS nonetheless looks pretty darn good for a game that's over a decade old.
Sorry dude, but that's an unfair, inaccurate, and harsh accusation. As far as I'm concerned, the others' aforementioned above comments are justified and with merit.
I've had my Wii since launch, which has pretty much been collecting dust since then.
But let me tell you, that I've been just ITCHING for Nintendo and their supporters to release some non-recycled goods which appeal to me and don't consist of either party mini games, cutsie child-oriented titles, or blat...
Bubbles for making me LMAO!
Right you are...
Just ask her brother. ;)
I love what they're doing with Steam, and all these tryout deals and attractive promotions.
Great way to reduce piracy, I'd imagine.
LOL...Bubbles are a must for that classic comment.
BTW: I never got the Angelina hype; there were a few instances where I thought she looked pretty hot, but overall, those lips just downright scare me.
Botox gone wrong.
Yup...exactly what I was thinking...Everything had that "never before experienced" sort of feeling. fI'll never forget the first time I started up Unreal on my 'uber-fast' Petium w/MMX...the visuals TOTALLY blew my mind.
And do you remember the A-3D soundcards?...the first mainstream cards to demonstrate true positional audio using only two speakers? (technology which was bought out by Creative Labs, and is now known as their EAX) Again, it takes me back to that first...
LOL...I can rest-assured that on a rough day such as today, I can always rely on you guys and the others here for a good chuckle and to help brighten the somber mood.
Cheers and bubbles galore!
Nice post...bubbles.
As much flack as the Unreal engine gets, you've gotta give it some some credit for being the foundation for some very memorable, enjoyable, visually-appealing, and successful games throughout the years.
I think the biggest problem with it is that because it's so popular and widely-used, people are just looking for something different. It's a bit of a paradox, I think: Because the Unreal engine was once (long ago) such an amazing, flexible engin...
Agreed.
The first three were soooo much fun back in the day, while I had a pretty tough time maintaining interest while watching the later-released prequels - with the exception of the last one, Revenge of the Sith, which I finally thoroughly enjoyed (but still can't hold a candle to the escapades of Han and the gang!)
Yeah, I gave it a quick go earlier today. Only got to the third guy, but I had a blast dueling with the first two.
What control configuration are you using?...I started with the default motion-sensing controls, but I seem to get a little ahead of myself, and tend to over-punch before Little Mac can respond.
Lotsa fun, no doubt. If any of you are Punch Out! fans, you're gonna feel right at home...only better!
"You must be 12."
You referring to age or IQ?
Bit of a toss-up, really.
"...Like losing control of a rear engine car for instance. You cant try and correct yourself like you would in a front engine car. The rear end will slide around untill your faceing the wrong way into oncoming traffic..."
Oh yeah, I know EXACTLY what you mean. My father has a '78 911 Turbo slantnose, and I'll never forget that adrenaline-inducing wet-pants feeling as a passenger, the first he over-anxiously hammered the accelerator when launching a right turn from a st...
I'm pretty sure that the outstanding Java-based PS3 Media Server allows for the transcoding of MKV files...even in glorious 1080P!; no need to convert to VOB files!
Here's an excerpt from the developer's README tab in the program, copy & pasted verbatim:

Hi there... you will find on this page an experimental upnp media server I...
My Wii's been waiting a long time for this little gem.
(Errm...I'm afraid using "my" and "Wii" together in a sentence is NEVER gonna sound right, is it?)
Buddy, I BREATHED that game for years!!!...at one point, it became my sole purpose for my beloved Commodore 64 (God rest it's soul)...Still remember every detail: The terrible "Accolade presents", sound sampling, the five cars: Lotus Esprit Turbo, Corvette, 911 Turbo, Countach, and Testarossa, the blurry instrument panel, that bland brown wall on your right side, and steep cliff on your left side, both which NEVER change...Ah, good times!
It was only when the exponenti...
Funny you mention that...I saw it the other day, and I said to myself, "I wonder why he picked the Red mad pissed off smiley."
Well, now I know. Bit of a paradox though, since you actually managed find an avatar which accurately depicts your difficulty with finding an avatar. ;)
This is good, long-overdue news; I've been having Kratos' intimidating eyes haunting my nightmares since launch back in 2006.
Meh...who am I kidding...I'm a bit of a ...
"But have you ever thought to yourself that you dont get nothing out of it."
Grammatically, that's what's referred to as a double-negative. if you "DON'T get NOTHING", then that means that you actually "GET SOMETHING", since the negatives cancel each other out.
Sorry, normally I'd overlook this, but I couldn't help to point it out, considering that the source is (theoretically) an approved 'article.'
If you ever want to be ...
Damn, so C++ is still that vastly-used???
Kind of makes me regret abandoning it almost a decade ago; never thought it would still be so predominant for so many years.
Bubbles for your reply, BTW.
