U . T . 3 ! ! !
all of these contorted, misguided, unsubstantiated anti-PS3 perceptions.
"Too early." Sometimes you just can't win, can you? The PS3 was the same product that was initially heavily-criticized for shipping too late as a result of development delays. And now it's too early...Just plain dumb.
The PS3's timeline-based sales trend is currently on-par, if not superior to, that of the 360.
Before you say "so what", just stop and THI...
"...its only 22gb, that'll be done in 10 minutes..."
o_O
Uh, did you mean 22 MEGS??? :P
I'd take those infamous, so-called "minimum requirements" with a grain of salt.
But I feel compelled to give some hefty credit to Epic and their legendary Unreal engine: I was able to quite-smoothly enjoy the bliss of a networked Unreal Tournament 2004 setup, using my slightly-overclocked PIII-700 and a GeForce 2 GTS video card!
Granted, the optimal resolution capped at 800x600, but fast, fluid-like and gorgeous nonetheless.
I have faith...
but that story from yesterday sounded so far-fetched, that I was compelled to do a quick Whois search on this emag site.
Apparently, the site is registered to a Mr. Anthony Hanses.
A brief Google search for that name bring's up an online C.V. representing Mr. Anthony Hanses. The interesting part is that his work experience includes the following:
_______________
Test Lead Audio/Video Capture & HDAudio
Microsoft Corporation
...
from PSN last night, and only then saw it for the first time, despite hearing the name thrown around here and there.
Never expected it to be anything like this. Funky, to say the least.
It keeps reminding me of the movie, uh...what was it, Star Wars: A New Hope???...where the characters are playing a futuristic version of chess, but with holographic 3D little characters who battle it out on the board.
I'm not usually into the D&D/card-role-...
Have you played it, or are you speculating?
Personally, that's by far the best (free!) demo I've ever come across, period.
I can't count how many joyous hours upon hours I shed trying to finally squeak into the top twenty with the Integra.
Funny...it was only a couple of hours ago when this promised demo surfaced to mind.
Good to know that this one's on it's way.
Now where the heck is that SF: Logan's Shadow demo UMD which I also signed up for?
Anyone here get that one yet???
Thanks buddy...but I was referring to Meus' standing nine-count (apparently my vote has had no effect for pushing it to ten.)
Appreciate the gesture nonetheless.
(CC'd you a bubble-up as well, by the way.)
that they intend to air a show that encompasses technology and video games???
...Bah, who am I kidding?...doing so would only put a crimp in their "Star Trek 2.0/Cheaters/Cops/Ninja Warriors" style.
More likely, they're making all this fuss because they're excited to have scored syndicated rights to "Birth Stories" or "What Not to Wear." ;)
"I lost a bubble. I'm down to 7."
I hereby counter such malicious efforts; a bubble for which you deserve.
And one for Meus, as well...for being such a jolly, bubble-granting chap (also, It'd be cook to see what ten bubbles looks like.) ;)
Holy "pot calling the kettle green and orange", Batman!
Man, you took the words right outta my mouth...
To say that I'm currently bitter towards these bastards is an understatement. After being subject to the Virtua Fighter "online is impossible" fiasco, this type of arrogance only adds salt to the wound for having supported them.
Now, It's gonna take a helluva lot before I give Sega any more of my money.
Stupid me...Should've bought Tekken 5 instead.
Yeah, the "SNES" part stood out for me too.
I noticed that the story's respective image shows blood in the scene...but I could swear I remember some sort of issue with the Nintendo version infamously not having blood, while the Genesis version was just a splendid little gore-fest!
Is my memory playing tricks on me?
Actually, I've yet to play a game of Soul Caliber. When I picked up my Wii near launch, I was excitedly scooping up whateve...
Well, if you want to put it that way...would there even be a Quake (or a Doom, or a Duke 3D, or - dare I say it??? - a Halo), had it not been for:
Wolfenstein 3D!
At least where I'm from.
Although I never could get into any of the SFIIxxxx's no matter how hard I tried, your statement does bring back countless memories from high school, when I'd often kill my lunch time at one the local pool halls/pizzerias. I remember the incredible crowds that would gather 'round those SF machines.
But Mortal Kombat is what personally did it for me. I specifically remember the first time I saw and played the first one.
...
Funny how it mentions the influence that Super Mario Bros. has had on other games, yet omits the very game that spawned Super Mario Bros. itself.
Isn't Donkey Kong the game that actually put good ol' Nintendo on the world-wide map???
Just for fun: Upon reading the story's title, the first three games which immediately sprung into my head (in order):
-Pacman
-Space Invaders
-Pong (also MIA, if I recall)
Ahh, Space Invade...
It's nice to know I'm not the only one.
My current Sixaxis serves me just swell, thank you very much.
What I find more important than Rumblemania itself, is that Sony has finally been wholeheartedly and consistently responding to consumer demands.
Good on them!
(Now, a healthy serving of native Divx/Xvid and region-free NTSC/PAL playback is all that's required to put me in my console nirvana.) ;)
Probably not.
Odds are you'll continue to project your innate, pathetic misery onto everything else around you for the rest of your apparently-miserable life...not unlike the many other trolls around here who continue to bombard threads which they claim to wholeheartedly hate and belittle, yet are uncannily and contradictorily unable to resist.
PS: How the Hell did you get off my 'Ignore' list??? Gotta make sure to fix that right away. I encourage you, and ever...
Dongle still = wireless...powerslides, here I come!!!!
**Sudden horrendous, painful image of Torch accidentally catapulting through his 53" Hitachi big screen surfaces to mind**
My bigger concern is whether the GHIII controller works with Rock Band, and vice-versa...I did some quick & dirty googles on the subject, but the answer still appears muddy.
Man, talk about decision-making.
