This article precisely addresses what I've been trying to get an answer for for months now.

Good to know that the GHIII guitar is compatible with RB, because it helps justify my GH purchase from yesterday, which I was a little worried about. I was debating whether I should have waited for the RB box, and eventually buy only GH game (sans Les Paul) and risk trying to use the RB peripheral with it.

But now that it's more clear that the RB guitar won't work with GH...

after no more than a few weeks of dishing $319 for a lower-performing, and now more expensive 8800GTS.

And the kicker is that my new system is still sitting untouched in the box because I haven't had even the slightest time to migrate PC's.

...Damn you, Instant Gratification....DAMN YOU!!!

<SIGH>

Funny you mentioned Bon Jovi...They're actually one of my favorite bands, but I figured I'd leave them out since I already get enough flack from my buddies for being a big fan of a "chick band."

The "Have a Nice Day" tour ('January '06) was one of my favorite concerts ever.

So There. I said it. I like Bon Jovi...It's OK, I man enough to be in touch with my feminine side...besides, just even try to tease me, and I'll whack you with my purse! ...

G&R's You Could Be Mine.

...Ahh, I could sooo see me fatally messing up that awesome drums intro!

That would definitely be worth the price of admission for me.

But anything G&R (with a dash of Metallica, AC/DC, and Aerosmith) would suffice for me.)

Those were good times...good times indeed.

Their description of the game strongly contradicts their mediocre score.

If I knew nothing about the game, I'd be compelled to run out and buy it ASAP, based solely upon their comments:

-A cross between a cartoon and a Pixar movie.
-Rock-solid gameplay.
-Diverse gameplay mechanics.
-Strong voice-acting; funny dialogue.
-10-12 hours of gameplay.

Yet, their ironic final score seriously compels me to question the author's s...

I thought it was just another one of those dime a dozen connotations that seem to be becoming more common around here, but actually, it's not:

Don't think of "ruins" as a verb, but rather as a noun pertaining to ancient architectural artifacts, such as "Roman ruins", or the "ruins of Pompeii", and it'll make a whole lot more sense.

Still funny though.

EDIT:
Uh, what millertime8306 and Agriel says. ^^^^^^^^^ <...

Yeah, I've done the Update adviser already, with minimal reported conflicts (although I'm sure that I'll still come across a slew of hiccups, as I always do when migrating OS's...but that's part of the fun, in a frustrating, annoying sort of way).

I think I'll be quite content with the 320 version, because I'd be running in my monitor's native resolution of only 1680 x 1050 (as with yours)...besides, in the worst case scenario, there's always my beloved PS3 I can turn to for th...

To be honest, the main reason I want to upgrade to Vista is because I already bought it months ago (CN$40, non-OEM, sealed!).

But I'm just trying to get a feel for how people have been finding it.

Thanks for your prompt reply though...bubbles for your time & effort!

I just got in from picking up my new quad core Duo system, complete with a splendid 8800 GTS (320MB) card.

Man, it's been YEARS since I've had a capable computer with enough sizzle to effortlessly spit out the latest games...Seeing these benchmarks gives me a smile from cheek-to-cheek!

Now, some advice, if you're so kind: To Vista, or not to Vista???

I've got a legit Home Ultimate version which I picked up for a steal...up to now it's been XP, wit...

Say, $350's pretty good for the 640MB of the card...I'm on my way later this afternoon to go pick up my 320MB XFX version, which I paid a cool CN$319...and I did look around.

Mind you, there was the EVGA 320MB version available for CN$298, but apparently, the XFX version, comes natively clocked at a higher rate, and is supposedly easier to overclock.

I used to be an avid PC gamer...unfortunately, my relatively crappy systems have rendered me out of the PC gaming scene for a good few years now. However, with the expected arrival of my delicious Quad core/8800GTS system later this week, I'm hoping for things to get a little 'old school' once again.

My question is this: Is a good deal of current multiplayer PC action now limited to paid services (a la XBox Live), or is it still like the good ol' days where we still have the ...

I honestly don't know what he said, nor do I care (God bless that invaluable "ignore" link), but I'm compelled to reassure you that whatever it was, you needn't worry about shutting him (or any other of the myriad of bitter, insecure, jealous bashers who really have nothing better to do)...

Because these images have already accomplished that task.

All that negative chatter just becomes senseless noise after seeing this kind of stuff! :P

But that took an incredible deal of careful analysis. And even then, I had a Hell of a time trying to find the two that I missed.

My primary (cheesy) strategy for discerning them is that I found most of the real pics to portray an annoying haze, akin to photographing without a lens polarizer (particularly the outdoor shots), while the GT5's images were crystal-clear perfect. Plus it didn't hurt to already have been exposed to, and familiarized with, certain GT-related environ...

I fully understand that, but my point is that software piracy is going to happen with or without Sony's support for homebrew (as is currently the case.)

Sony may as well reap some benefit from the homebrew scene, instead of trying to fight the futile battle that is the overwhelming demand for legitimate, non-game-related homebrew.

They can always continue to fight software piracy (and rightly so, I might add.)

A valid statement almost a year ago.

However, I reckon that those days are long-gone, as the PS3's growing-pains are well behind them.

What capable gamer could possibly resist the delicious avalanche of PS3 titles that are on the verge of hitting us in less than a month's time?

All aboard, 'cause it's Full-Steam B3yond from here on in!!!

As I FINALLY bit the bullet and spec'd out my quad core, 8800 GTS system, due for arrival this coming week.

PC-gaming, I've missed you!

-PS3?...check!
-PSP?...check!
-Wii?...check!
-Game-ready PC?...CHECK, CHECK!

Now, I can die.

You're right to mention the PSP...but for a different reason.

The article is referring to 'non-game' apps and usage, and PSP is the ideal candidate for that.

Well, sort of.

Man, if Sony were to just loosen the reigns a little and allow the homebrew PSP community to flourish, there would be no stopping that Little Console That Could.

Case in point: I just picked up a new Sony HDR-SR7 HD camcorder...and (ironically) stingy Sony provid...
