I bought one when I realized there would be no other way to finish the Metal Gear Solid story or play Gran Turismo 5.

Exactly. On the other hand, I have been noticing a bigger increase in gap between the two lately in Europe every week. Just last week, the PS3 almost sold twice as much as the 360 over there.

US and EU alternate with GTs. Sometime it's bigger in the US (GT3) and other times (most of the time), it's bigger in EU. Japan is where it's weakest and even there it sells over 2 million on most GTs.

Because if I remember correctly, fanboys were giving the "PS3 Doom" speech as soon as word spread about a possible "360 Slim".

I think it's quite obvious that he had to give the round to the 360. If the PS3 were to win, what would be the point of having one more round? Either way, the PS3 was going to win.
Anyways, this round didn't seem to be about the future much at all. It was more about which motion controller was cooler to him and which online service offered more, which I believe was already covered in a previous video.

Honestly, I thought that would've been solved by now. I went to Wal-Mart last Thursday to buy MotorStorm: Pacific Rift (I know, I'm late). When I looked at the consoles, they had ONE PS3 in the main casing surrounded by 360s (except for the left side, which had DS3s), including Splinter Cell Editions.
I came back the very next day (after playing PR all night, my friend wanted it, too. We only bought it for $15!!!! It was amazing!) and that same PS3 was gone...

A $200 Slim would mean Sony would lose $40 on every PS3 sold (according to latest figures).
They could, however, sell them for $250 and keep the sales strong along with a profit (even tho it would just be $10).
But wasn't Dedicated Servers "teh failz" because developers can take them down whenever they want?

I must be the only one who doesn't think Halo 2's ending was THAT bad. I kinda enjoyed it (although not as much as the Halo 3 ending, which I thought was better) And as for "almost" putting MGS4 on the list......
A story stretching twenty years long was tied in one AAA title COMPLETELY. They managed to close up pretty much any question one might have had, which is tough to do even in a trilogy, let alone a 20-year old story.
