At your report:

Microsoft announced 40 million for their Fiscal year. Their fiscal year didn't end last week, when those estimates were posted. They probably announced 40mil as of March 31st. I'm pretty sure that's when fiscal years end in the gaming industry.

You know what I love looking at when I see this chart?

A cute little sack-puppet that is considered by 360 fanboys as "a game for 10 year-olds", outperforms 9 out of 10 of those 360 multiplatform/exclusives in ratings.

Oh well... maybe more testosterone can fix that! Right, Halo: Reach & Gears 3?

uh....huh..

Well, to be honest, Sony used to be the "evil" company.

They were extremely powerful and they knew it, hence their past arrogance back in the day. Still, for evil guys, they sure delivered some great games! (and they continue to do so!)

The only ones I would want are Mass Effect 2 and L4D2.

I played Halo 3 (Halo 2 was better IMO), I don't want Conviction (already got my stealth game), and don't need Gears 2 (if this was before Uncharted, I would).

Everything I wanted on the 360, minus ME2 and L4D2, ended up as an alternative game that I ended up liking more on the PS3.

Loved Crackdown - Loved inFamous more
Liked Gears - Love Uncharted 2
Liked Halo 3 - Choose from Killzone 2,...

I like Splinter Cell back in the day, but I heard this one was too much of a change. It looks like a game with no identity, when before, it used to be the modernized/western version of MGS (to me).

Now that MGS got all "westerned" up with MGS4, there wasn't much need for me to pick anything else up. I got my Tactical Espionage fix.

My friend had to wait 4 days just to RENT a PS3...

The shortages are real, people. I've seen them. I've asked 2 Gamestops, 2 Wal-Marts, 1 Target and a Best Buy. The only place I could find a PS3 was the pawn shop a few blocks down, and it wasn't even a Slim.

Netflix goes for $9 a month which comes out to about $108 a year.

Maybe they think people won't notice. I DARE them to make that move.

Why would Remedy admit to the fans that the game is anything less than 720p?

5902d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

It's not a listed "Feature", but don't you think Sony would have stopped it by now if they really disapproved?

They've done it with Warhawk before, but then decided to take it back off for some reason.

You know what's sad?

The 360's sales in Japan for 1 year (2009):

approx. 362,036

...............??? Isn't that, like, a week and a half for PS3 sales worldwide?

PS3 sold over 200,000 last week (50,000 more than the 360, BTW)

As for the PS3 in foreign land (US), it outsold the 360 last week (for the third week). I think the name "PlayStation" is part of the aid that Sony has in America. That, and they know how to sell US-style g...

I say it's only dumbed down if it's released the same way on another console due to the 360's limitations. I'd say it's reached it's limit.

..... what's that?

... it's on PC and iPhone?

...........yeah, it's dumbed down.

They've done it twice before, and the PS3 is about as successful as the PS1 during the same time so it's clearly possible.

Only reason people are skeptical is because they're exposed to the Internets' many "doom and gloom" stories (that, or they're convinced that a bad launch will spell doom for the rest of its life cycle). If those were around or accessible during those PS1 days, I'm sure people wouldn't have expected it to "win" that generation, let alone be...

Whoa, that was fast....

Anyways, I haven't seen any flaming on him as opposed to someone like, say, Jack "video games are evil" Thompson.

Let's agree to disagree. He has his own vision and in that vision, games don't have that appeal.

You're missing out, dude.

Sadly, most see art as a frozen, complex, painted picture on a canvas made by a person with "a vision".

Art, in reality, is what looks good, feels good, tastes good or sounds good to you. If art was meant to be an exclusive group of "elegant" painted pieces, we wouldn't label those in the music industry as "artists".

I'm not saying games are art to me, but I think Roger should have said:

"Video games can never be art to...

How long did it take you to pull that off?

Was the copy and paste worth it? *looks at your comment history* Because you seem to want to do that to a lot of people lately.

I would understand wanting a refund if they removed it just for sh*ts and giggles.

It was response to a "security breach".

Talk to the hackers that ruined it for you, instead.

You can play in the pool until someone pisses in it.... then everyone is thrown out.
