It's not like the PS3 version of games haven't been up to par before. I find it extremely random that this game suddenly sparked a huge uproar between fanboys.
(360 Fanboys) Shouldn't this be old news? I thought multiplatform games always looked worse, or did you just now get full proof?
Unfortunately, they chose to give in to the growing Western RPG games and follow while still using some JRPG elements, which they failed to mix correctly.
They should stop trying to do something they aren't good at (being Western). They should do what they do best. They're still going to get sales in the West and a ton more in the East. What they're doing now is trying to win the world and that never.... EVER... works.
Hey, remember all that buzz about Lost Planet 2 becoming a 360 exclusive because of that trailer??
Yeah... it's not the TV Spots that cause the buzz. Most of the time, it's the first or second trailers released for the game that cause the buzz.
And since the word is already well-spread that the PS3 is a cheaper, yet high quality Blu-Ray player, the sales will no doubt grow more with the growing adoption of Blu-Ray as the next format.

Why else do you think the attention was turned to multiplatform titles? Because PS3 exclusive games have much higher quality in both gameplay and graphics.
When you put a multiplat game in the mix, it's a different playground! Now the 360 actually has a shot!
close to 150mil consoles and 1800+ games later and the thing is still alive and kicking.
I predict that whenever the PS2 dies, we will see PS2 games playable on all PS3s. The simple fact is that this console has crossed a benchmark that can only be reached again by changing the appeal of games (Wii, and even then it still has a long way to go).
I don't know if the PSOne was selling this much, but what makes the PS2 more impressive in this subject is that ...
