Where did this idea that God of War: Ascension didn't sell well come from? Sure it's nowhere near as big as GoW3 but selling over a million copies in 3 weeks and being on track to sell ~3 million lifetime is gigantic for the genre of which nothing outside the GoW series has ever achieved 3m+.
And who said it isn't fair game? A flop is a flop, if one exclusive flops and another is a success the successful game doesn't mean the other game isn't still just a flo...

Launch games means games released the same day as the hardware. Lair and Uncharted: DF aren't launch games, Motorstorm and Ridge Racer are racing games which always represent the best visuals a console can produce and Resistance: FoM is very ugly, GoW2 looked better than that.
Compare God of War 2 to a similar game, like Genji: Days of The Blade (both are hack 'n slash games) and God of War 2 does look better.

No, Uncharted 3 is hated because it's a very lazy game. After the huge critical & commercial success of Uncharted 2 they just cloned that game and called it Uncharted 3. Just watch this http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Uncharted 3 had awful pacing, plot holes, piss poor story, restrictive gameplay, poor gunplay (at launch), dull antagonists, weak multiplayer... It just isn't a great game, not ...
Uncharted 3 is nowhere near the worst game of 2011, it's not a great game, above average/good imo, but not the worst. TLoU is a great game, maybe fans exaggerate about how good it is but it really is great.
As for JumpToGamer's top 10 list, I only agree with 2 choices.

lol, Wii U is a beast for sure... compared to the Wii, PS2, Gamecube & Xbox. It's roughly as beastly as the PS3 & Xbox 360. It's a baby mouse compared to the true next gen beasts, PS4 & Xbox One.

It's not just about talent, it's about budget, team size, the genre and the teams experience with creating multiplayer etc.
Look at God of War: Ascension compared to UC2/3/TLoU. SSM team was much smaller than ND, there's never been a fully fleshed out hack 'n slash online multiplayer game before (Ninja Gaiden 3's pathetic attempt is barely worth mentioning) so they had nobody else to look to for inspiration, balancing out a sword + magic combat is much har...
I'm getting the Gears of War + The Last of Us + Resistance vibe, I think the game is going to be incredible.
God of War series, Alan Wake, Mass Effect series, Bioshock series, Oddworld AO & AE, Castlevania: LoS, Oblivion, Fable 1 & 2, Deus Ex: HR have my favourite OST's.
Well Sony Santa Monica was only a 90-100 member team whilst developing God of War III and after its gargantuan success they doubled the team in size. I think a similar situation will happen with Ready at Dawn when The Order 1886 releases and is a huge critical & commercial success, they'll expand and become one of Sony's biggest studios up there with SSM, ND, MM, GG, PD, SP etc.

I'd be so upset if Naughty Dog announce Uncharted 4 instead of a new PS4 IP. It isn't even a popular series, certainly doesn't take care of itself. Even with Sony's biggest marketing budget, holiday releases and mass bundling the games more than any other exclusive it's not a very popular series. @WhiskyWhiskers The Last of Us was in development for 3 1/2 years actually, when Naughty Dog finished Uncharted 2 they split the team in two and went on a hiring spree. One team started on Uncharted 3 with the other on The Last of Us.
It was announced by a developer on Ryse that it has only been in production for 1.5 years and their already crunching to get the game done by November.
I hope this is because Sony Santa Monica will show their new game, I doubt it though... :(
Why like Anarchy Reigns or Power Stone? They should've made it more like God of War: Ascension's multiplayer component, that would be awesome.
Also if they ever make a sequel it should have a proper single player campaign and a great story, could be something special.

I don't know why anyone would waste that much money on a figurine of the worlds most generic game character. I mean, generic isn't always bad, Joel from The Last of Us is but he's also a very well-written, relatable character... Drake is just awful.
