1 million polygons per character is impossible in realtime even on PS4.
Developers have modeled characters at millions of polygons for a long time now and then they convert the displacement maps into normal maps which massively lowers the resolution with an almost identical looking character model. The best in-game character models will be around 100-150K on PS4.
And UC3 looked better than TLoU, it's an amazing game but not for the visuals.

Exactly, God of War: Ascension was only a flop compared to God of War III not the rest of the series. Also it will end up selling better than any game from a hack 'n slash series outside of GoW and will be 4th behind GoW3, 1 & 2.

Also Vgchartz is rubbish, according to NPD GoW:A was under-tracked by 49K just in the US in its 1st month. According to GFK it was under-tracked in Europe up to June by 160K.

lol, but seriously, after watching a play-through on Youtube this game deserves a 6/7 out of 10. Anything 5 or below is too harsh.
This game has had so much shit flung at it but after the latest trailers it's looking very good, definitely a game I'd buy an Xbox One for (hopefully it's a 85%+ rated game).

They were all achieved with a pathetic 512mb of ram, just imagine what's possible on PS4/Xbone, it is a significant upgrade.
MGS4 sucked, Heavy Rain was novel but nothing special, Demon/Dar Souls aren't know for their story or characters and Bayonetta had no direction, it was just frantic combat all over the place which isn't a bad thing for everyone obviously.
I think God of War III deserves a place since Stig Asmussen directed the most acclaimed and bestsellng hack 'n slash game ever.

Heavy Rain had positive word of mouth though and had a good reception from critics which is why it had good legs, reached 3 million sales.
Beyond Two Souls won't come close, even though the PS3 install base is twice as big now than it was when Heavy Rain released it still couldn't match its sales in the US or UK. It's legs will be cut short by next-gen consoles and the poor word of mouth. 1.5 million tops I reckon.
I didn't want to buy Beyond Two Souls so I watched a play-through on Youtube. It's pretty awful tbh. Horrendous writing, disjointed, poorly paced, pretentious and the story sucks. It's also not a game due to a lack of any gameplay mechanics other than walk from A to B and use Aiden to push things, chock & possess people etc.

I enjoyed the single player of Resistance 3 the most by far then 1 > 2. I really enjoyed the MP in 1 & 2 but not so much in 3.
