Troy Baker as Kratos.

Would either be awful or brilliant.

I'll miss Shephard :(

Hopefully ME4 isn't a prequel, should take place in a different galaxy 50,000 years in the future where a race of angry ageless titanic ducks eat all intelligent life in the galaxy and turn their screams of terror into energy used to power their home planets technology.

:)

Hardly fair to lump God of War with Assassin's Creed & Call of Duty.

Last generation:

2005 - God of War
2007 - God of War II

This generation:

2010 - God of War III
2013 - God of War: Ascension

Portable side stories by a different developer:

2008 - God of War: Chains of Olympus
2010 - God of War: Ghost of Sparta.

Vs

This generat...

God of War is the only adventure game that gets QTEs perfectly right, especially GoW3 + Ascension.

This is because you don't actually have to use them often, only during a few platforming/set-piece momemnts and to finish boss fights. That's it, people love to exagerate the QTEs in the games but you hardly have to do them at all.

Even if the QTEs are optional in Ryse too, the game encourages you to use them for extra points and it has a very basic comb...

Kratos.

Nah, it's been a long generation so you're going to have to think back a few years.

I hate open world games.

Linearity is a good thing, especially in a super focused story driven cinematic action-adventure game like God of War. I don't appreciate filler, boring/repetitive side-quests, poor pacing, unfocused story, worse graphics + performance etc, just to pad out the games length.

Look at Darksiders, it's REALLY boring but could've been amazing had it been a more focused experience.

You have to think about it as an experiment, they just wanted to see if they could pull off a multiplayer component in a God of War game and see how fans reacted and how much of an impact it would have on the single player campaign. It's the reason it's a prequel and not God of War IV.

It wasn't amazing but the SP is good and the MP is a great foundation to build upon, I'm sure they've learned a lot from the game and will make sure GoW4 is the best yet.

LOL!

God of War III - 93% average, 6 million+ sales, tons of accolades and millions of fans.

King of hack and slash games.

Bayonetta - 90% average, 2 million sales (PS3 + 360), a few accolades and a small fanbase.

Decent effort but compared to GoW? Nothing but an ant in the shadow of a titan.

Waste of money? Even God of War: Ascension is on track to sell over 2 million this year which has taken Bayonetta over...

I think 60fps should only be for fast-paced games, it looks weird in slower games especially without good motion-blur effects, then it just looks horrible to me as everything moves in a very unnatural way.

I can't wait for God of War IV, it's going to look like mindbogglingly good and hopefully Cory Barlog will ensure the story will be amazing.

It's a shame they never released story DLC for God of War: Ascension, I think they should have made Polyphemus & Stheno from the multiplayer into single player bosses and had new levels and story details built leading up to them, would have been cool.

Are you just stupid or just saying stupid things because it offends you that some people didn't like Bayonetta and aren't looking forward to the sequel?

God of War is loved my many millions of people for the STORY, VISUALS, SOUND & GAMEPLAY. It does have an amazing story inspired by the brutal and fantastic realm of Greek mythology with a huge twist and it has great characters, Kratos is one of the most popular characters in gaming, his character also has a hell o...

This thing is God of War is simply to play because it's easy to learn, it also has a lot of depth for hardcore gamers to master. Knack just looks really basic, we don't know for sure yet though so I'm still willing to give the game a chance because it looks like a charming little game.

I hope it's great and becomes the modern day Crash, we need more lighthearted fun games like that.

Ready At Dawn are up there with Sony Santa Monica and Naughty Dog. If the opportunity arises Sony should by them.

TLoU is an amazing game but it is a bit overrated. It has amazing presentation, pacing, storytelling etc but the gameplay & story could've been better.

I expected mixed reviews for Beyond Two Souls, was never impressed by it. Still, might buy it once it hits the bargain bin, which will probably be within 2 months.

@vishmarx No.

God of War III > GoS (flipping amazing game though, unbelievably good for a PSP game).

God of War: Ascension/III > CoO (really great for the first proper hack 'n slash on a portable device).

GoS > God of War: Ascension (not taking into account the MP the SP was not up to scratch and GoS was brilliant).

I can't wait for The Order 1866, it's going to be amazing!

Capcom went with a western developer try and make DmC appeal to the millions of God of War fans.

Failed.

Capcom tried to make Resident Evil appeal to the millions of Gears of War/Call of Duty fans.

Failed.

Perhaps Capcom will realise that to please original fans of DmC/RE they need to make sure new installments in both series stick to the same design/formula they knew and loved and stop trying to appeal to a broader audience ...

Why is Master Chief considered a mascot for M$ and not Kratos for Sony? According to Google trends Kratos is more popular than Master Chief and they're both from franchises for 16/18+ so it can't be because Kratos is a psycho from a mature rated game.

Drake's their MVP? Nope. Kratos is, he is significantly more popular and the GoW series is much bigger even without the mass bundling that UC has.

Crash is only a dinosaur because the IP was abandoned, if someone created a great Crash game nowadays it could be massively popular.
