Most probably a slimline model the size of the Wii.
Or maybe a 1TB set top box with all the media features you could want - PVR functionality, TV tuner etc.

You do know that the long load times due to BR has been proved to be incorrect don't you? But then - we know that The Microsoft Action Response Team actually thrive on spreading FUD and lies.

Say - how is it down there in that basement having to type out some waffle just to meet a quota of posts? Sucks right?

You should try playing Uncharted and R&C. I would even recommend Lair if they did not interrupt the game with so many cut scenes. But Uncharted is great. Gets better and better. I am 30% into the game - and now it becomes better and better. Eye of Judgment got my wife into playing video games actually - and she hates video games.

Being BC with PS2 (not the 40GB model - I have Euro 60GB model) - I actually pick up lots of cheap AAA PS2 titles for it as well. I kid you not -...

Next up hopefully in-game XMB... but not really a feature that I am too concerned about. Down here we have such crappy online that we are just happy to be able to play an online game - not going to congest the line with voice and video as well...

Great for DivX / Xvid... that is more what I can use until we get better internet broadband...

Despite the media onslaught in 2007 and the biased reviewers trying to jump on it - it has picked up steam. Thanks to games like R&C, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, EoJ and GT5 Prologue - it is clear that great things are to come.

I thought the best graphics was Heavenly Sword, until I saw Lair.
And then - R&C was not shabby but did not top those two. But now Uncharted came out - and some of the effects is just amazing. Anything claiming to be the best in graphics out there must first match the water effects in Uncharted. It is so good you keep on finding water to run around in it to watch the effects. Uncharted gets my vote.

EoJ is a great game... I must be one of those two that you are talking about. My kids love it - and my wife plays it as well - and she hates computer games...

As far as I know it did not flop. The retailers in my area did not get many in stock... and they are constantly sold out on it. I had to put my name on a waiting list to get mine...

Sony sure has an impressive lineup for 2008. The PS2 is still selling well. There is no reason why the PS3 should not do well in 2008. But until holiday season 2008 is done we are all just guessing and letting our favoritism shine through.

BTW - hope Naughty Dog and Insomniac release another set of games like R&C and Uncharted to add to this lineup. And of course - The GetAway - one of my favorite games. Hopefully we will get Ace Combat as well. A few Eye titles will not h...

I played it. It is a very, *very* enjoyable game - if you get allowed to play it. If they took out all the cut scenes and the interfering with the player - then this game would be in the top ten. It is that good. But you get so irritated by the interfere-as-you-go and scripted strategy that you just want to throw the controller against the wall. All the elements are there, the environments, the game engine, the content... but somehow some twit decided to script the game for you with 2 minute ...

Based on what the scenario is, add vehicles or not.

Forgot to add - it looks like a game developed by the MS Office Help team. You know - the guys who came with clippy - the annoying Interfere-as-you-go assistant that you just can not get rid of.

Sadly i have to agree and disagree. With the part that I played of Lair so far, it did turn out to be bad. Not because the graphics was bad - it is visually one of the most impressive games. Not because of the controls - I like the motion controls. Not because of the game play - the gameplay is some of the best that I have experienced so far. Then why? Because the devs don't allow you to play the game. They shunt you from cut scene to cut scene. Allow only a few minutes of play before - bam -...

PS3 is becoming the target platform for devs.
PS3 survived its first year, and began to outsell XB360 worldwide. Some heavy hitters coming next year. XB360 seems to have some nice titles coming as well. They must just get their disk scratching and RRoD sorted, because with multi platform titles now being releases simultaneously and with quality same, with the price drop of the PS3, it might find itself in trouble. But I think that by now MS would have figured out how to stop the RRoD. ...

Way back in the days when we programmed Mainframe computers (you know - the ones with the 20MB disks in the size of a washing machine, tapes, green screen terminals - with the awesome IBM keyboards?) we used to play a text adventure game called: Zork. It goes like this

>N
>>. You go North. You see an elf.
>Hit Elf
>>. You hit the Elf. The Elf hits you with his sword. You are dead.

And then you restart... wow... things have c...

Blu Ray is already dominating - and we are talking HD sales - not standard DVD. Standard DVD will be around for another 5 years minimum. But the format that be standard from DVD is Blu Ray. Not asking for exclusives. Check all my posts. I never asked for any publisher to be exclusive to either format.

Simple fact is that PS3 swung the sales in favor of Blu Ray - and the trend will continue. What I said is that the media tends to try and paint anything PS3 or Blu Ray negative, ...

And even before it is out a month yet, not through the festive season yet - and you are ready to proclaim that it has "bombed". Wow. This is game that will sell over a million in two or three months. Lets talk after February if it did not reach 1 million by then.

The media trying to pressure the publisher to not make PS3 exclusives - especially not ones as big as this. They would have played a different tune if it was for XB360 - something like "Rise of great 3rd party exclusives" or something in that line...

So Blu Ray outsells HD-DVD titles from 70% to 30% and 90% to 10% ... the media says it is not dominating...

Then the HD-DVD stand alone players outsells Blu Ray by 60% to 40% not counting PS3's, still looses on titles - but the media is ready to announce HD-DVD the winner...

Bottom line... Blu Ray dominate the market. HD-DVD is hanging on by the barest of threads. It is over... no media waffle is going to change it.

You watch the dang movie. I prefer just one item on the menu - Play. The rest is fluff that is not needed.

If you want a real interactive movie - get Heavenly Sword, Lair or Uncharted.

Just give us the best video and audio quality, and if possible - as many episodes as possible on one disk if it is a series. For the rest... That is why I have a web browser...

I got my copy from a retailer who had it early on the shelve. Others said they only get it Wednesday. So it could be that the shipments was delayed or something... but then... we always get the games late...

Now on 30% - and the gameplay seems to improve as you move on through the chapters. Getting a bit more action and less linear play as it progresses. Dang.. the water looks good...

The enemy AI is quite good. They seem to react more realistically than other ga...
