My view is that it is like chocolates or soda. You have a favorite. Someone releases something new... and you try it out. If it is good, you switch. If it is bad, you say. Or you just watch the reaction of your mates. If they have a bad taste in the mouth... then you stay with your favorite.

I don't think Sony fans plan "revenge" for the YLOD article. If anything, the PS3 article is funny, because there is so little PS3 failures, that it is actually really news when one fails - and it gets posted everywhere.

All the games stores that I go to... they had returns of PS3's back when the 40GB was introduced - and that was because consumers did not read the NOT BC WITH PS2 notices. But broken ones - all of them are sure they heard somewhere about some person having had a faulty PS3 - but can not really say who or where.

Second time around? I liked the first Killzone very much. In fact - I like it more than COD4! I don't get all this negativeness about the first Killzone. I think most who comment so negatively on the first Killzone did not actually play it. It is a great game. And I really don't give a rats ass if Metacritic has it at 7 or something. It is one of the best fps games. It actually plays better on the PS3. Great storyline, challenging levels. Simply put... bring on Killzone 2.

HDMI is better than component. Component is not a purely digital signal like HDMI. With component cable quality plays a role - because of signal loss. With HDMI, you can gold plate all you like, the signal is exactly the same as a cheap HDMI cable that works. Either it gets the data or not.
To be fair on the comparisons, they should use best from both - meaning - both should be HDMI output. Comparing the PS3 HDMI to the XB360 component is just as stupid as the ...
