"I guess that's what happens to people who are down with crack."
Some may say they've been taking part in a crackdown ;)
This is an Indie title which means it's unlikely to even hit a mil on any individual system. A game that has such a small community is exactly the sort that benefits from Crossplay. Indies are strongest on PC and Switch so I think it's very fortunate for Xbox only users because it'll mean the online pop declines much slower. PS4, on the other hand, could see a very quick decline and the result will mean longer matchmaking or for some impossible to play online.

@S2Killinit
The only new hardware the PS4 would need at this point is a revision that can cut production costs. There is no need for any more hardware updates apart from that tbh. I'm not entirely sure what you were suggesting so I don't know whats "not the same".
@DaDrunkenJester
Minor example and also one of their own games. If it was something like what happened with Fire Emblem or Tokyo Mirage Sessions I'd be outraged but the covering of a tiny bit of cleavage like this is nothing to really be concerned about. I'm talking about Sony forcing 3rd parties to alter games for them because they don't want backlash relating to their system. Nintendo did similar way back but these days 3rd parties are free to do as they wish ...
That's wonderful and all but the PS5 does not publicly exist yet. Also considering the size of Anthems environments it looks very good.
Guess he'll just have to enjoy Bayonetta, Pokemon, Yoshi, Town, Animal Crossing, Luigis Mansion, Fire Emblem, DxM and Pikmin.... Did you think Nintendo only had one game next year or something?
Article says that.
"the Switch ended up as the highest selling console of 2018 in Japan, North America, and France, and depending on how the difference is made up for in the rest of the world, might end up as the top selling console of the year worldwide, period."
"im pretty sure if PlayStation released a new hardware in the second half of a generation they would get big sales as well. (Not dissing Switch, just stating a fact)"
Pretty sure they already have though. A 3rd might be going overboard seeing as we already have the Slim and Pro.
I know you're in the US but in the UK I used to work at a supermarket and the union fee was £2.50 a month. Hardly a lot to pay to have my holiday entitlement and pay protected, and legal representation should I need it.
"Which is why I love this country. Everything outside of defense that the government touches turns to crap. People need to quit relying on authoritative power so much. Produce a more attractive alternative and make a few bucks."
I think that's far too broad a statement. There are times government is necessary and times where it should have minimal influence. To give an example one of the only things that can protect net neutrality is government influence.
Flying near rivers and waterfalls can actually cool the heat meter too so there are ways of avoiding it.
@FTANK
Where were politics mentioned in the article? Show me and I will concede that you didn't force politics into the topic.
"I am guilty of bringing in satire to mock a company that forced in politics onto their consumers"
Bit hypocritical then because you forced them into the topic when they weren't relevant to the discussion on Anthems demo.
Didn't Phill also say during VGA that they could do better? So while I'm sure his job is to put a positive spin on things for the company there have been moments where you see that they're aware that they need to step their game up.
As for E3 though I agree they had announcements (mainly the studio acquisitions) that show they're progressing towards being on the right path.
I think the main issue is that when it comes to Sony they're in control of the most popular console platform and they have the power to censor every major release (should it get that far). Nintendo used to do similar and after a few years of backlash they seem to have changed their ways.
"I take it you were the downvote?"
I'm one of them. Largely because you're bringing politics into a discussion where it doesn't belong. If you want to debate with stupid SJW's do it on another site where that's the topic.

Didn't read the article did you?
"That being said, the studio also teased the release of an 18+ patch to restore the censored content, which is pretty much what was done with the first game."
And if thats not enough for you then you can buy the game on a different storefront:
"We also hear that the uncensored version will still be available on other platforms from day one."
Trust me Valve gets ...
They should've just released whatever they had and cancelled the rest because that would've been "truer" to their original word then I guess...
Games in development run into unforeseen issues that result in a delay. It's not a big deal.
Don't think anthem has much hype behind it tbh. It's lukewarm at best and the main thing keeping people optimistic is the transparency from Bioware on social media.
Looking forward to the obvious ones there like Crackdown, Halo, Ori, Gears and Battletoads. Tunic was always on my radar for its beautiful visuals but I'd not seen Void Bastard before. It's got a very interesting cartoonish art style.
