"I'm fully willing to accept that I may be wrong here, but how common were these articles for devs jumping studios?"
It's not big news because an article is written but because everyone who's saying "its not a big deal" keeps clicking on them ffs. When will people realize that their interest in coming to downplay is actually the reason these articles get big?
Are you saying that you're happy that people are losing their jobs?
"The layoffs, which could number in the hundreds, are part of a restructuring aimed at centralizing functions and boosting profit, said one of the people"
If anyone's curious ask DICE what its like when you're a high profile studio that loses manpower and is forced to work at the same capacity. These restructuring efforts can sometime have benefits but I don't se...

"The windows store is irrelevant and you think you are getting a deal with them, but you can buy any game on Steam for less then what the launch price is just by going to any 3rd party site. You can't do that with Windows store."
No you can't because you can't buy Gears, Forza, Halo Wars 2 or SoT on there. Also they're play anywhere titles and thats a feature Steam doesn't have so not always a better deal on S...
@Rachel_Alucard
Even though the Windows Store offers a better deal? SoT is a play anywhere title and then there's Game Pass so buying it through Steam (if it were available) is just going out of your way to get a worse deal.
@tontontam0
"STEAM FTW it is only acceptable when a game is exclusive to steam, when it is exclusive to others it is scummy fuck you epic."
Nice try kid but I already told you in my first comment:
"You know what real competition would be? Having the game available on all storefront's"
Sit down. You clearly have nothing to back yourself up and completely forgot that I'd already said I don...
You can actually blame the single player for playing a part in the BFV failure though. It was the most pathetic excuse of a ww2 era campaign I've ever seen. Literally wrote heroes out of their own stories because they needed to be "inclusive". Really thought that after BF1 they were onto something for their single player experiences with the War Stories framework.
BF3 was literally straight up attempting to follow Black Ops footsteps and BF4 was just generic a...
Would there be a problem if it turned out a game was more popular on PC than Xbox?
They have. There's a trailer for it.
No it doesnt. Seeing as you said this happens to most online games can you show me what led you to believe that?A spike in active users is expected but you never expect to double your population.
@tontontam0
The Physical version is the EGS version as well. You've shown that not only do you have no argument to justify Epic's actions but also that you're completely ignorant of the entire situation. Congrats.
Your logic:
Game available exclusively on Steam = Steam Monopoly
Game available on all storefront's = Steam Monopoly
Game available exclusively to EGS because of paid deal = Competition
You know what real competition would be? Having the game available on all storefront's with the clients offering some sort of benefit to buying it through their service. For example one advantage with buying some games through the Xbox store is th...
@Nyxus
No one is denying it shipped units but debating the effectiveness of the title as a system seller. It released on the same day as the RE2 remake so you can't even attribute the sales to KH3 alone. Meanwhile the Switch has zero new high profile releases and is still selling strong.
KH3 was highly anticipated since the beginning of the generation so you'd expect it to have had a bit more staying power than just one week.
I'm still worried because this is what happened to DICE. Working on too many products that ran into unforseen issues which resulted in overworked staff, reshuffling of resources and people leaving. I hope we don't see history repeat itself.
But then there'd be no point in EA Access lol. While I'm okay with EA Access existing they seriously need to up their game when it comes to competing with Game Pass and PS Now. I just feel there's not a huge amount of value in being able to play 6 Battlefield games, 4 FIFA games, 4 Madden games, 3 NBA games and 3 NHL games. On PC it's a little better but still not great.
Also wouldn't some of the games in the service not be available on Playstation? I t...
I wonder if there's a difference between the two systems in that percentage. I only wonder because EA Access is on one system and not the other and was curious if it could in some ways promoted more digital sales or have the opposite effect.
@cmv38
Guess power never mattered to those people then.
"games look identical on every platform (PC,PS4,XBOX)"
There are definitely games on PC that have a graphical edge over the console versions and its more than just a higher resolution.
"where AA and A games is our future. thanks games pass."
Whats wrong with that? Whats wrong with MS having a different approach to Nintendo and Sony? Do we want all of the big 3 to be exactly the same or to offer different experiences? Also isn't The Initiative making AAA level games? I think you're trying to simplify something and present it in a deliberately misleading way.
"Ms paid 10 million"
They didn't because I googled your number and I'm getting $20 million from Michael Pachter.
Think this has less to do with EA and more to do with politics.
