I find it ironic that he's fighting the fact that he was not credited for his work (90 days), yet has not taken to fight, defend or explain why he was fired.
I agree that if someone is terminated, they do not deserve credit for any work done with the company.

I understand where you are coming from mate, and my comment was not meant as a personal attack against yourself. There are already teams dedicated to both XV & vs. XIII and it is because of Versus that we are yet to hear anything on KH3.
I would prefer for Toriyama to utilize the resources he already has and complete the lightening saga than start a new project that would take years. XIII-2 was a major improvement and given the turn around time...

X-2, XIII, XIII-2 and now most likely XIII-3 were all directed and developed by Motomu Toriyama and his Team. They are completely separate from Ito's team who are rumored to be 4+ years into developing XV and again from Nomura's team who are working on Versus XIII, which is the reason why there has been no Kingdom Hearts III.

Isn't obvious after all this discussion that the Final Fantasy fanbase is so large that it is completely divided on every single entry?
There are always different directors & teams involved with each entry into the FF series. That means there will always be changes, new ideas and different directions. Hence a split fanbase for every release.

A lot of people bash XIII-2 without even playing it, because of the stigma behind XIII.
I struggled to complete XIII, and I got the Platinum trophy for XIII-2. Massive difference, and a great leap up.
That being said, the next core FF won't have anything to do with Motomu Toriyama anyway, so the style will be completely different. Bring on Ito's Team for XV (VI, IX & XII)

FF hasn't died, the 3 lowest ranked games have just all been directed by this guy. There are still other teams and directors involved with the other projects.

If the rumours about XV are true based on the source below, I am equally excited for it too. Ito's Team (VI, IX & XII) have had some great ideas and XII showed a lot of potential. I'm also excited to see where they can take their ideas this generation.
