It's funny you should mention that Umbasa, because we covered Shadows of the Damned in an earlier article for "Great Games you Might Not have Played": http://gamecloud.net.au/fea...
I think it depends on what you choose to play. I'd argue something interactive is much more beneficial than static entertainment, such as television.
It's okay to like anything, as long as it doesn't damage your quality of life or others around you. Moderation is the word I'd say applies best to anything recreational.
Simple. The game would no longer be equal in all its components. Playing FFVII is a nostalgic experience, and its appearance is apart of that too.
It'd be a an awkward, outdated mess just updating one part of the game.
Go big, or leave it alone. I want to rediscover FFVII, not replay it yet again.
FFVII is on PSN and Steam. It'll still be there.
There is no game more important to me, but I definitely don't want the same thing with better graphics. I just want them to consider the universe when updating, not current gaming trends.
I think Square Enix is well aware how much pressure is on them not to fuck up. Just look at FFXV and their Active Time Reports. They're listening to fans and engaging. This is not the same arrogant approach they ha...
Persona 4 Golden holds that title easily, though this looks interesting.
I think people are forgetting that CD Projekt Red self-published the game. It was simply distributed and marketed by WB, Bandai Namco etc.
CDPR also founded GoG, so any sales there would have been at a high margin.
The score on this one is actually 9/10 from the looks of it.
It was refused classification, so it can't be sold over here. You can still get your hands on it legitimately in a similar way to how Australian's would access Netflix.
P.T is absolutely "next-gen." Hands down.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it too!
Chapter 9 was the real highlight for me personally. Look forward to it. :)
It sounds as if this "reviewer" only played the first two chapters of the game. It has a rocky start, but it only gets better as you go -- and the mechanics do find their ground!
Anyone who has made it to chapter 9 or beyond will know.
Having almost finished the game, it makes me concerned that a lot of people appear to be forming unfairy strong opinions with what seems like very little playtime to justify it.
Tabata came onto the project 2 years ago, and these numbers are based on the current-gen rebuild of the game being 50% completed. This is not referring to the 6 years prior, and it was clearly stated as such in the interview. Too many comments without reading the source.
Read this article instead, it's a hell of a lot more informative: http://kotaku.com/the-man-w...
The author probably should have waited until TGS was over before writing.
All that effort, and then Square goes and shows a live engine/gameplay demonstration today, pretty much throwing half his argument out the window. https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Yeah, Kojima said in an interview the following day that the last puzzle was intended to be ridiculously difficult to keep players talking. (He was hoping for a full week!)
So many theories on NeoGAF. It was great to see the internet coming together to discuss ideas and work together on something. It was crazy, and I enjoyed it a lot!
Okami was remastered in HD for PS3 in 2012. :)
I've been meaning to re-watch Reign Over Me. I know that it was mostly a plug, but SotC really fitted with the personality of Sandler's character. I enjoyed it a lot!
Powerful hardware doesn't guarantee good games. The only PC exclusive game that would genuinely benefit from such power is Star Citizen, and that had to be crowd funded.
That's arguably the most awesome sentence I've ever heard, let alone one that was spoken in a video game. I'll buy a shirt!
Yes.
