Also it depends on how much they drop the price. If they drop it by $50, the 360 will still outsell it.
But anyway, I don't see sony dropping the price of a console they are already losing a ton of money on. On top of that the recession is giving sony a beating. The only way they can drop the price is if they "modify" the motherboard design and/or axe feature like they did with backward compatibility.

in the wii version you really don't mind too much because the aiming has been so improved. mgs3 probably had the worse controls of the series but I still played it through and loved it. I didn't like that they took out the laser pointer out but still a hell of a game.

you do know that the 360 doesn't need Japan to beat the ps3. They have so much more support in North America that they could ride above the ps3 the entire generation. If sony wants to beat the 360, they need take more advantage of the holiday season. and somehow make a profit on every ps3 sold.
I'd prefer art over realistic graphics. In games like braid and okami you basically are playing art. nail a good soundtrack and nobody would want to leave the gaming world.

Digital distribution is already happening. I don't think bluray will be the "standard." But more of the base level. Kind of what the CD is today compared to mp3 files. But you are right that dvd users will eventually transition over to bluray.
A great movie deserves these great sales. You should be able to enjoy it whether it's in dvd or bluray.

Yeah, I don't know what people were expecting from gtaIV to be so disappointed. I mean really does it have to have hours of cutscenes to be good? It's an open world game. You get as much as you put in. And you basically can do anything you want.
