saying it's coming out on the ps3 is as stupid as saying mgs4 is coming out on the 360. mgs4 is 3rd party too.
ALL games require compression to decrease loading time. Bluray has it's pluses and minuses when it comes to games like dvd does. Bluray is the reason why you have to install portions on your hard drive, because it just doesn't stream data as fast as the 360's dvd drive. All that extra space would be good for 7.1 surround sound and 1080p. But the cell isn't strong enough to have all their games at native 1080p. It can do GT5P at 1080p, but a racing game doesn't put the kind strain KZ2 or MGS4 ...
yeah I think everyone is jumping the gun. A lot can happen in a few months. And I'm almost sure there is more coming out in 09 that hasn't been announced. So we'll wait and see.

the software speaks for itself. 360 owners don't buy games if their console is being fixed. And 360 software crushed ps3 software this holiday season. LBP and R2 did horrible for the ps3's installed base. While gears 2 sold millions more than those games combined.
You should uninstall halo 3. The loading times are longer if it's installed for some technical reason.

Being able to play a game off the disc is like their identity. Without that they are basically PCs without a mouse. Optional installs are good for games that have some problems (long loading times, texture pop-in, noise level etc.), but I hope developers don't get lazy and use the installs as a crutch for the some of the problems listed.

How many of those are going to get delayed til 2010? LBP (a week no big deal, but still delayed), mgs4, and killzone 2 have been delayed. I'd be willing to bet GOW3 will be delayed to 2010.

Whatever happened to all that "ps3 games don't need trophies, we play them for fun." Looks like somebody was a little jealous. Or just playing catchup... again. Well anyway if they are going to have trophies mandatory in 09 they should at least patch the old games. But the chances of them patching the whole ps3 library is as unlikely as having backward compatibility 09. Guess they really don't care about "old games."
This is a stupid article. The middle east isn't even important sale-wise. North America, Europe, and (for whatever reason) Japan are to Microsoft. About half of total console sales are from North America alone. Well I find this refreshing. Piracy on the 360 and it still manages to outsell the ps3's software. I guess Sony should have made their console for gamers and not blu-ray enthusiasts.
I wonder how big a download it will be because of cutscenes.

LBP isn't my type of game, but it is the most unique (and I guess revolutionary). So good choice overall.
That's a horrible analogy. Mozart is more popular than 50cent and has sold a hell of a lot more than it has. And if people say COD4 killed halo3 then fine. COD4 360 killed COD4 PS3, you lose anyway.
