There will not be a 360 slim. Microsoft is gearing up for the release of Project Natal. If they put out a slim model now all the hype that they would be saving for Natal wouldn't be there. The rumors everyone has heard about a new console will be launched with Natal is partial true, It will be a Natal SKU and this will give the same effect as PS3 slim, but will allow the 360 that casual market lean also.
I guess I have a different take on this coming from the PC gamer world in which you wouldn’t think about using wireless for gaming because you don’t want your powerful gaming rig to be held up a lagging wireless connection.
1. Problem is G is really to slow to sync with things like Media Center or streaming of huge media files.

I own a 360 and don't mind getting off my butt to switch dvd's. When I have a problem with switching DVD's is when switching happens often. Example: GTA if you had to switch disc based on different areas of the city; so your driving along and the next thing you know you have to switch disc. That would suck but this, there is nothing wrong with it. PS3 owners want to make a big deal out of it, it's not. Think about how many PS2 owners have to do that in some games. Yes, this would totally be a smart move. However they only want to lunch before Microsoft if and only if they are going to have a good line up of games and marketing to go along with it. They want to pull as much hype as they can around the launch of there controller and just show all the things you can do with it.
Keep in mind Microsoft's is ready to go other than the fact they don't have the games that they want to bring out with Project Natal. In addtion I believe they don't...

It’s really silly seeing him and some of the fanboys because they don’t take a look at anything other than video game side of Sony. Sony as a company posted several major losses. They had to ask share holder for more money and promised they would return to profitability. They have hedged everything else in the company to make up for the PS3 losses, the free PSN, Home and other expenses related to keeping exclusives.
