From what I've read, Epic stated that they could probably optimise it to run smoothly on one 580. Could be PR bs, but you never know.

Battlefield 3 looks very, very, very good. I'm glad that DICE are pushing so much power into Frostbite 2.0 on PC's, especially since other devs don't improve much on PC versions of multiplats.
Many PS3 exclusives look very good. I'm glad that devs are working so hard squeezing so much power out of the PS3.

Don't know about CPU, motherboard or RAM, but they said they were using 3 GTX 580's (roughly $500 per card).
This comparison is like bringing a gun to a knife fight.
The demo was run in REAL TIME on 580's in 3-way SLI, so there is absolutely no chance the PS3 could do such raw processing.
