Naughty Dog have done wonders optimising this engine! Major props to them!
Can't wait until the holiday season.
I really hope Yahtzee can get in on a big project. It is painfully obvious that he knows a lot about good game design, and he clearly has a passion for it.
A few years ago they said that Doom 4 will be running at 30fps, and it'll look MUCH better than Rage.
Hopefully that'll turn out well.
I've shared this link a few times to people looking to get a PC. It's a great place to get started, with builds already done within different budgets.

I seriously doubt development costs would go up tenfold. Lots of developers, if not most, already make high res models and textures of the game assets and then scale them down for the game. Unless there's something else that makes costs go up.
The first post of this thread should have all of the info you need:

Nvidia needs two cards to run multiple screens, whereas you only need one AMD card.
You'll be in for quite a ride! One of my favourite games from this gen.
I think that the consoles have generally reached their limits, but devs will always be able to optimise and squeeze out that extra tiny bit of power.
I don't think we'll be seeing a huge leap from UC3 graphics on PS3. Naughty Dog can improve how things are rendered, but there will always be hardware limitations involved.
Still annoyed that they aren't including the original multiplayer in this.
Well deserved. Infinite looks absolutely brilliant.
I hope someone can import some Crysis 1 levels into CryEngine 3.
Imagine all the improved lighting effects and the optimised code! *drool*
The patch is out! :)

Near the middle of the page it has the 1.9 patch, high res texture pack and the DX11 patch.
Crytek took their time, but they certainly delivered! I personally think that this is the best looking game out on the market. Can't wait until BF3 is out, too!
Those reflections are beautiful! Reminds me of Epic's Samaritan video.
With full reflections, the water sure is pretty! Still doesn't have proper 3D waves or physics. Can't wait until they do a graphical updade of Source.
Hopefully they can implement MLAA.
LOL, not only is that Reach shot off-screen, it's also a leaked picture from the alpha version. Trolololol.
Because the video game development scene in Saudi Arabia doesn't seem to be too big, so I want to support them.
I'm going to buy it just to support the developer.
I'm still thoroughly impressed by what Crytek managed to squeeze out of DX9. It's one of the most well optimised / best looking games I've seen.
Cannot wait for the DX11 patch and the new textures.
Nobody really answerwed your question. Yes, you can use a SixAxis controller through USB on PC's. There are plenty of guides on the net that should help you out :)
