you're a PS3 owner who couldn't find a bundle (because EA didn't distribute as many for the PS3) and only purchased the game. Now you're sitting at home watching the looped demo and intro movie, singing into a spoon, kickin' the cat and strummin' your wanker. Thank you Red Octane, MTV, EA, Harmonix, Neversoft and Activision (yeah, I'm blaming everyone) and Happy Freakin' Thanksgiving!
My wife is angry with me because I spent a good part of the weekend playing Uncharted. Finished it last night. Need to start over on hard because I only got 17 treasures.... I guess if the main character had been British IGN UK would give it a higher score. That said, yes Uncharted is better than Tomb Raider. Sorry UK.
Here's my opinion. I've played many, many games over the last 30+ years and have owned 12 different consoles. Of all the games I've played on the PS1, PS2...
These type of cross-platform "debates", and I use that term very, very loosely, are what is slowly turning me off to this generation of consoles and some of this generation of people as well.
On the topic, Stringer is doing what he needs to do from a purely business standpoint. I have no doubt that Sony actually did make those sales numbers, he would be caught lying at the end of November obviously. What I also believe is that in this age of instant gratification it...
Certainly not a 3!!! I've been playing the game for an hour or so now. It's not the best game I've ever played but I haven't put it down yet. I am partial to Norse themed games (Sega don't f'up Battle for Asgard) so this may be biased but I like it. Worth a rent at least. Playing on the PS3 by the way.
I just wanted to ask you ladies what systems you owned before Bill Gates decided to throw his hat in the ring? What was it that kept you busy all of those years before? Were you simply PC owners who converted to a watered down white PC with a green (70% of the time) and red (30% of the time) ring on the front? I am just really curious how you both progressed to this point of arrogance. Do you work in the industry? Do you just have an inordinate amount of time to waste every day of your l...

I would like to take a poll of everyone one this board. Simple question. How many people have actually DRIVEN a real car? No, not one of those Fisher Price motorized cars in your parent's back yard, a real car with an engine, steering wheel, brake pedal etc. Guess what, in real life the point is NOT to hit the other cars on the road.
The AI in GT5 Prolouge demo has defintely improved from GT4. (Watch the replay demo of Daytona). The only area where it is still weak is in ...
and close your mouth. It is obvious (look at the picture of Mr. Newell) that Gabe has made a good living developing games for the PC (aka Windows, aka MS). That's great for him and his company. If he wants to continue down that road I'm sure he will be able to maintain his girlish figure. The problem is if all programmers and developers thought like Mr. Newell the Atari 2600 would still be the #1 console! Instead of Half Life 2.2 we would be playing Space Invaders 73.
Gabe...
What are all of you people (I mean children) smoking out there! It is obvious Sony has made many mistakes this generation but there is absolutely no way anyone can compare a PS3 to a 3DO or a Gamecube! Even counting the PS1 and PS2 games that won't work on it the PS3 has the largest available library of games of any system ever created. Sony will not allow the PS3 to be third or second. 3DO had no legacy, Gamecube did but decided on a useless format and came into the game really far behin...
If you go to the R* site and pre-order the game directly from R* (either PS3 or 360) it says the game is available in 2008. This, of course, still proves nothing but that is what it says.
The article about Home being released in October is dated March 12, 2007! As most of us know, Sony officially delayed Home to Spring 2008 at TGS. Sorry, but it has nothing to do with Home being released.
I remember prior to TGS Sony was supposed to make an announcement about a game that would "save" the PS3. Everyone then thought it would be FFVII. I doubt it is GTAIV but we still haven't found out what it is yet. Maybe we'll know on the 12th.
I live in the U.S. and love my country but in the world of videogames Europe and Asia really matter. Sony may lose a larger part of their market share in the U.S. but MS will NEVER be as popular in the rest of the world (it's an American company, remember. The EU (huge anti-trust decision held up last week) hates MS!) Wii is a wonderful fad that will pass into obscurity over time and when FFXIII, MGS4, GT5 hit, the rest of the world, particularly Asia, will stop sitting on their hands and ...
I'm happy we didn't have these forums back in the '70s! "Dude, did you see 'Pitfall'? I mean, the gameplay is awesome but you think they would do something about those jaggies!"
Guys, what's the point of arguing here? The 360 will have a great holiday in 2007. MS sales will be impressive. By 2009 the system will be on it's last legs and all will have to shell out more money to buy the 720 (or whatever). MS will completely drop 360 support, come out with Halo 4 a...
I have a Logitech Chillstream (wired, no six-axis) and it works fine. This tells me there should be no problem patching the game. Personally I've played it for three hours tonight and have no problems with the six-axis. It's a pretty decent game.
Amon Amarth, Ensiferum, Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Doomsword, Tyr, Candlemass, Kreator, Dark Tranquility, etc. I'll think of more later.
Please, no "Europe"
This guy Reeves over at SCEE will probably be looking for a new job this weekend. He is probably accurate in stating Sony's long term plans but you don't go running your mouth after Sony finally had a good few days. Sony really needs to get their collective head screwed on straight. They have the best system, potentially, just keep the price drop and before you know it they'll have a better installed base, which will lead to more exclusives which will eventually lead to dominance once agai...
I cannot believe the attention this pic is getting. I guess I can only blame Sony for not being upfront with the 2005 trailer but come on people! It's one freakin' picture! Give these guys a chance to actually show us something.
The only thing I do know is 360 fanboys will never give it props no matter how it turns out and ps3 fanboys will defend it to the end. It's what makes the world go around.....
This game is being published and distributed by EA. Can someone, I'm being serious, please tell me what games EA has released as exclusive or timed-exclusive in the past? I'm sure they have, but I can't think of one right off.
Anything is possible but I doubt this is true. But I wouldn't put it past MS to buy exclusivity. It's how they have always operated.
I happen to have been keeping up with the Rock Band news and knew the PS3 bundle would be arriving in very low quantities. I was able to get one of four that my Walmart had. My first comment is, I believe, a general reflection of how an uninformed PS3 owner who did only buy the game would feel right about now. And, just a general feeling towards all publishers and developers involved with the great "incompatability" issue of 2007. People need to get over themselves and work toge...
