If there's anything that can unite Droids and Bots, it's taking the pi$$ out of that d@mned wii lol
Killzone 2 will likely suck. Just as haze. But Resistance 2 will own :P
I do hope the sales of wii slow down, otherwise it sends a message, for next gen, that people don't "want" the latest graphics, cutting edge ai etc. They can just re-hash this gen's console and bundle it with a silly accessory and it will sell like hot cakes -_-
On the plus side, it has brought a lot of non-gamers into gaming, and perhaps we will see some of those turning to the hardcore side...
Don't forget 4-PLAYER SPLIT-SCREEN!! That's surely the biggest thing going for this game. Will be awesome.
@sonarus
I wouldn't want GT to have custom paint jobs, it would kind of ruin the beautiful look of the game. So would damage, for that matter... hmm...
If this game turns out to be any good, it will certainly sell more as an exclusive than as multi-platform. Just think, by making it exclusive they've put it on PS3 owners' radar. If it were just another multi-platform title, who would even take a second glance at it, really?
Who said they're only meant to be seen once? In that case, the home video market likely would not exist AT ALL, because once you've seen it AT THE CINEMA you (of course!!) wouldn't EVER want to see it again now would you?
So wait, what MS is saying is that they _never_ supported HD-DVD, and were always behind digital distribution, i.e. they stab their partners in the back at the first opportunity? Is that _really_ a good stance to take? If MS came to you, inventor of the first mainstream holographic disk, and pledged an investment, would you trust them? Would you now go into business with them at all?
It doesn't matter if they made one of the best games ever (I played that game for aaaages, but eventually got 100% on the challenges and story mode, got a few platinums as well XD), that doesn't ensure that all their _future_ games are going to be much good. I'll still wait until release to pass judgement on this game, though.
Yeah considering that Q1 09 is less than a year away, and they would have to add damage to 700 cars (or however many there'll be), I can't really see it happening. Unless they take on extra staff BIG time.
In the US PS3s already go for the equivalent of £200. I paid £425 (of course that's including our hefty 17.5% value added tax) for mine a year ago, and seriously if they went for £200 over here I don't know if any gamer _wouldn't_ pick one up straight away. Seems yanks are such cheapskates wanting a price cut again lol
Yup split-screen co-op up to 2 players, even whilst online playing with 2 people on another console! There's also meant to be bots for offline play, but I'm not sure if you can do a deathmatch with 2 local players online... but you ought to be able to :D
I thought this might happen with BD-Live. There's nothing of substance worth looking at, and what is there could easily have been put on the disk. It's not needed to connect everything to the internet. If someone invented (which they probably have) a toaster, say, which connected to the internet, what would be the point? Exact same thing in my book.
Doesn't exactly look amazing.
Still, "frustrating rebel gameplay" and "unpleasant vehicle sequences" seem like things that can't be easily remedied, and quite serious gameplay flaws at that. I'll still keep one eye on this one, but I'm not expecting too much from it.
Was it confirmed that they paid warner brothers off? I thought that what warner wanted was an end to the format war so that more people would invest in hi-def. Which is exacly what happened. They went for blu-ray because it was selling more; had they gone exclusive to hd-dvd the format war would likely still be raging, hence they didn't. Plus - to any fools that actually have bought a standalone player - why pay that much? Whilst hi-def is good, it's not worth _that_ amount of money _plus_ wh...
Eh? Link's not working :|
I think that's the point: Whilst you're on nectar you don't realise what you're doing (you can't even see the corpses of the people you've killed), and so when you become a rebel it'll become a lot more serious/real. I hope that's the case anyway ;)
I agree. It basically meant that levelling up was a BAD thing, so you just set all your major skills to be those that you don't use, and you could fight level 1-2 monsters throughout the entire game.
Well it certainly seems like they've achieved their aim of beating Halo 3 (as far as the single player/co-op campaign and the graphics go), but will it get over 80 on metacritic is what I'm wondering.
