No numpad=fail. My LAPTOP has a numpad. It would be impossible (well much slower and more annoying) to do any 3d design without one.

Does this mean that we'll be getting PSN cards soon?

If it's any consolation I pretty much suck at both XD

I didn't disagree, but I can see why people might have done. Any trace of negativity in your statements.. e.g. "This looks like it is DEFINATELY NOT going to suck" and people will slam on the disagree.

I think it was a great move to release it about the same time. If you buy a 360 for GTA IV, then you're not going to get to play GT5:P are you? It makes more sense (if you're going to buy a new console) to get a PS3 right now.

It would be really hard to improve the graphics after they've already

Made the character models
Made the environments
Painted all the textures
Written all the shaders

I reckon they just aimed too low with the graphical quality to begin with, and now there's not really much they can do about that. The delay (I hope) has probably all been spent on refining/balancing/improving the gameplay rather than the graphics.

I've not tried it, but wouldn't it work in the PS3's web browser?

Well yes they should fix the 360 first... but did everyone _really_ believe that mspaint drawing? I know they said something like "our contact drew this for us in mspaint so that he wouldn't get in trouble", but to be honest, couldn't anyone have drawn that? And its a bit late in the day to start introducing new peripherals to drag people away from the wii... I think microsoft actually _is_ fixing the 360, they're bringing out new models all the time, and I'm sure that the rate of R...

is that "other" region where the wii is last and the 360 is top? There's already an "other europe" region, so this includes, erm... new zealand? Or where? Seems like bs to me.

That's because you can pick up a ps2 with a game bundle for as low as £55 in some places... that's only a little more than 1 game for PS3!

I don't think haze has a seperate co-op storyline - are you thinking of Resistance 2? Warhawk has online split-screen for up to 4 players, with haze it is only 2. But if this preview is anything to go by, then this game is definately worth picking up!

Yeah funny thing is I looked forward to warhawk because it is similar to battlefield ;) I won't be picking this up, looked intriguing because of the destructible environments, different vehicles etc but pay for dlc? I'm boycotting.

I don't know why, but when playing battlefield 2142 I had HUGE problems trying to connect to servers, and with warhawk, while it's better, I still get the odd random disconnect (that and the voip doesn't work AT ALL, I just get garbled noise). Other ga...

m9750 is what I have. It runs crysis on "high" settings at a reasonable framerate :D

It was either

1) Some tard PS3 fanboy trying to make the PS3 version seem superior
2) Some clever-@rse xbox fanboy, building up an impression that the PS3 version is superior, knowing full well that the real reviews will rubbish this and thus casting the 360 version in a more positive light.

I personally expect there to be marginal differences between the two; and for those differences that there are changing your tv settings might fix it ;)

I'm going to have to stay off the internet when the reviews start rolling in. I don't want ANYTHING to be spoiled for me ;)

I'll check a couple of review scores (you know, so that I know it actually IS a good game lol), then I'll preorder and not visit any game related site until release. Can't wait for this.

Surely you can only download as much data as will fit through your phone line...? I looked at the grid before, and its main aim is to share computing power between all the computers linked up to it. This requires (of course) very high speed connections to share the computed data. So you'd still need to build the fibre optic cables, and that would be VERY expensive indeed.

Yeah graphics are a bit poor in this game, they're more akin to what resistance looked like than more recent offerings like UT3, COD4. Better than halo though if that's what they were aiming for ;)

It's not really much different from what a lot of games are doing nowadays - charging far too much for content that is actually on the disk already, fleecing us out of more money. This just takes it to an extreme, though, because _everybody_ can see that they're just charging for the heck of it.

Just a different system than the default software-based renderer. Of course it's never going to be as fast as a regular gpu, becuse modern cpus (cell excluded) aren't designed for manipulating vectors etc. Also things like rasterisation need to be hard-coded, where (I presume) there are actual circuits devoted to that on a gpu which can do it much faster.
