I've never had any issue with the AI in GT. I don't know why people complain about it? It _doesn't_ feel like you're playing against people who are playing the _game_, but to me, it really feels like I'm racing against real life drivers. People always say, "but they stick to their racing line and do not waver!!11", but that's what I'd _expect_ a driver to do, no? They occasionally slip up and take a corner too wide or something as well. They don't go smashing into all the other driv...
The reason they make both versions identical: To shut fanboys up about minute comparisons between versions. It also means they need to only aim to get the graphics to the lowest common denominator for both consoles, and can't push one or the other. I mean if you look at games jointly developed for, say, PS2 and PS3 the PS3 version is just the same with a higher resolution and maybe more particle effects.
Erm.. yeah whatever. One is a racing sim and the other is an arcade racer. And why compare a sh1t car in GT5 when we _know_ you can unlock far faster cars if you progress? Is it that you start with the fastest cars already in grid? Is the _aim_ to crash your car and lose and die? I'm disappointed with the lack of a damage model in GT as much as anybody but it really doesn't detract too much from the game as people say it does. After all, you're not _trying_ to crash your vehicle ;)
I would be shocked if anybody gave it an 8 or lower to be honest, but yes I'll be buying it anyway.
lolololol "end of christ" WTF are you saying that is easter fool
but there is already an "other europe" region, so what is "other" for...
Yeah I read that it was one of the unlockable "costumes" in the review by OPM :)
I actually find FF2 to be quite slow, especially when you have videos running it's really slow at switching tabs... I hope this is fixed for FF3!
Well yes bear in mind that even in, say, Final Fantasy IX the only way to get the Excallibur II sword was to get to the final section in under 12 hours, but some people did it. Half-life 2 has been completed in under an hour I think!
It's not possible to "understand" a website's content using an algorithm, unless that algorithm posesses near-human intelligence. Just think, if we got a list of all possible web sites and got a bunch of people to look through them to see if they were relevant to something a person was looking for, they might need
-Knowledge of the subject searched about (in case it is called different things in different places)
-Knowledge of the meaning of the search keywords (l...
Well I don't see anything to complain about here. Still a lot of watching, though, 10hrs sheesh! But it was to be expected. I expect all the cutscenes to be awesome as well.
I don't think Home is what any gamer really wants. Yes it's _novel_ to be able to actually meet up with people via their avatar, but I think it would be better to just have a list of friends with options to "voice chat", "join friend's game", no matter where they are, in a game or not. To have to log into home and wait for it to load, and then find out that not all your friends can be in the same server for home at the same time, and then to see that you can't contact your...
Yes you absolutely MUST play 1-3, they are simply awesome games. I really liked the depth of the story in 2 but many thought it to be too confusing; when I looked it up it was OK though :P
Fair enough. It's not everyone's cup of tea. However I would say that this particular game is vastly different from the others in terms of gameplay and controls/camera angle, but still retaining all the stealth elements as well. If you're not a fan of stealth games, then it's really not for you though :P
Yeah it certainly _won't_ be the final build, but they've got an excludive review of a version of the game that _may_ still have a few glitches/bugs left in (heck every game ever released has at least some bugs in, but this build moreso) but in terms of features, story, graphics, controls etc. it will all be exactly the same as the retail release.
I think crunchie was just curious as to whether you'd got a chance to play the game and had some inside info on how great it is, but you're just going on the strength of the franchise and previews/reviews; which is fair as well but I know there's a select number of people who _have_ played the game :)
GTA1 was released on numerous platforms including PS1 and PC. But every last GTA has been on a playstation, so I think we can say it's a PS franchise, just not exclusively.
You forgot Wipeout HD
I agree to a certain extent, but then, GT5:P is awesome and so will socom be. I think I'd rather have these games this year _and_ "full" games next year than nothing this year!
Well to me it looks very much like CS:S. I've not been overly impressed by the graphics in this game. Some of the screens look very nice, but the character models not so much...
Yeah to be honest, we should all get used to the fact that games get delayed, on both consoles. I don't think Alan Wake has been getting that much hype though, has it?
