It takes _everyone_ a while to get a hold of the basics, and then of course you need to play for ages until you learn where people lay the mines on certain maps, where the weapons are etc. But it is great fun though!!
Thief 1 and 2 were excellent. Thief deadly shadows sucked imo. It might be becasue it was jointly developed for xbox, and so they "consolified" it and added a lame 3rd person view and stuff, took out the rope arrows, instead of a mission-based system they got into the whole "ooh an open world would be fun let's do that" mentality and it ruined the game I think.
One major thing that changed through the series was that the plotline got more and more convoluted in each iteration ;)
I had to play through MGS2 like 5 times until I understood what was going on... what does S3 stand for again? And who are the patriots? AI...?
I bought 3 sixaxis controllers at launch - there are 3 people in my house that would want to play together, but also, the ps3 supports up to 7 controllers, so now I have 2 dualshock and may pick up another 2 at some point. That way I can play 7 player when there's a party going on or something, and as most games only support (up to) 4 player play, everyone will have rumble in that case. Don't ask me how I knew there would be rumble controllers coming along later, so I could plan ahead, I just...
I agree. There should be a petition for an 18 rating in Australia, not to allow a particualr game to be sold. And let's face it, GTA isn't _really_ suitable for under 18s.
I wonder how much someone _would_ be willing to pay for this? Seems to be one of a kind... and there are many collectors out there
That's the same thing as saying, "couldn't we make a copy of this antique, to just as high a quality". It's not the original, and of course, things only sell for what people are willing to pay for them. Collectors value original carts quite highly, it seems.
I like getting someone to jump on my wing and then lift them up to the very, very top dome in the Destroyed Capitol map with binoculars :D
Red faction 1 was so great, you could build tunnels in the rock! AND it was only a PS2 game (came out on pc also I think). Red faction 2 they dumbed down the geo-mod, and even fewer walls were destroyable, and you couldn't build tunnels in the MP maps :( This new one looks a bit, erm, well they've changed it to 3rd person for a start. I hope that the geo-mod system is as good as the the first...
Well sort-of-more-on-topic, surely this has been said for a long time? That's why whe...
They put in this much effort, they could have made an actual movie lol
Does mario kart have proper power sliding? The greatest kart racing game I ever played was crash team racing, played mario kart after that and I was like.. wtf? This is all wrong, requires no skill...
I remember playing the hel out of crash team racing time trial mode; but there it was slightly different. I managed to get within the top 100 recorded times on some tracks, but the way you needed to do this was _by_ cheating and exploiting bugs in the game. But some of the shortcuts required great skill to get through, and it was quite satisfying to finally master a particular route. For GT, though, you shouldn't be able to just bounce off the walls to make a record lap.
They'd be better to release a PSP2, as current cames wouldn't be able to be played with the 2 analog sticks anyway, and new games that required them wouldn't be able to be played on the older models. Making a slim version is one thing, but adding new controls... they should just make a new console.
Will this game have split screen? I sure hope it does...
Blademask have you beaten all the A class races? Because after that, you can go onto the races with penalties. Sure, there's not that many people playing, but you get into a nice race with 4-6 people and NO ONE BUMPED ANYONE ELSE ONCE. Also, everyone there can drive because they've all completed the A class races. It's only on the beginner races that everyone can join that there's all that pushing and shoving, with no penalties.
When I looked at the best times for certain cars, the ghosts never hit the walls? I'm sure I've never been able to hit a barrier without incurring a penalty...
I can see that these people still take the view that somehow video games "teach" you to be violent, how to fire a gun, how to hit someone etc. In my view, video games only make you _angry_ if they're far too difficult and you get reeealy frustrated, or your friend beats you in a game that you swear you're better than him at, i.e. you would get just as angry at, say portal (how the $@#k do I do this with just 3 portals? It's NOT POSSIBLE AAAARGH), as at COD4 (you... just... killed me...
In-car view in motorstorm you would probably only see mud on your windscreen anyway lol
Um, wait, so this guy thinks that Final Fantasy XIII and gran turismo will release this year, and not only that, sell 15 million between them. LOL. Here is my estimate: they will sell 0 this year because there's NO WAY that either of them are coming out until AT LEAST Q2 2009.
Microsoft has a big problem. What they should _really_ do is start from scratch; scrap their buggy os at its core and start again with something clean, fresh and that works, with far fewer security flaws, crashes etc. Of course, the reason they can't do this is because.. well what's the reason those of you who are using windows right now actually are? It's becasue of the _software_. The games and applications that are compatible with windows. To start again would probably mean dropping most o...
