Can you imagine the head scratching if Playground Games announces their new game and it ISN'T Fable?
I'm still holding out hope for Series X at $499 but the more we learn about it, the more it's starting to look like a $599 box. That has to be why Lockheart was created. A box for the casual audience.
I really hope they don't go with $599 but I have a feeling they may. Only reason I think that is because MS doesn't need to you buy the Series X right away because they are leveraging their current gen player base for the next 1-2 years. They might be fine with trickle sales at $599 until Lockheart makes its way into the picture.
I really don't think Sony is sweating as much as some people thinks they are. Sony is the market leader and that right there is MASSIVE. If the 9tf rumor ends up being true, that means we're getting PS5 for $399.99 which is an incredible value. If the rumor is true that they are within 1 Tflop of each other, then we're probably looking at $499.99 for both. Thinking about buying the PS5 day one and doing the Series X through the installment plan on amazon so the Mrs. doesn't fr...
This is a VERY different Microsoft in 2020 than it was in 2013. New CEO, New head of Xbox, new strategies. They have demonstrated how committed they are this generation as evident through the new studio purchases. They deserve another shot, just like Sony deserved another shot after the PS3. Anyone who doesn't see the difference between 2013 MS and 2020 either isn't paying attention, or just doesn't want to see it.
I would imagine Sony adding a higher capacity battery to offset it.
This PS5 controller is starting to sound expensive. Is everyone thinking $59.99 or higher?
I think most gamers temper their expectations when it comes to launch titles for any system.
Exactly!
There are certainly fewer leaks heading up to E3 since they started doing their conference rehearsals offsite.
Chill dudes, this is how it works with this type of new technology. Out of those 10+, only the strong will survive. Then the failed ones will assimilate back into the 2-3 successful ones. All companies are shooting their shot right now, some will nail it, most will miss. I say, let them fight for every cent we give them and reward the quality.
Just because you probably won't succeed at something, doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying. MS has a better chance of breaking into the asian markets with xcloud this gen than they did last. Sure, it'll be very small compared to NA but, it's a start. Something to try and build on because you'll never get Japanese gamers to buy an xbox console. Even Sony is struggling more each gen.
To me, console exclusive has always meant that it's a game that you can't play on the competing platforms. If it's a sony exclusive, it's not going to xbox (even if it goes to PC),so it's still a console exclusive. Same goes for the last of us, even though it was remastered for the PS4. Still a console exclusive.
That's a cool little tool. Anything to keep the size of the 4k assets down to save disc space would be greatly appreciated. Still unclear if the high res textures live in the cloud and the AI builds what it needs from that or if it is all done locally.
@Godmars290,
Right, I get that but we're not talking about Atari here. MS, Sony and Nintendo are not going anywhere and aren't in danger of going out of business, so why do we care? I get that we all care about the actual games, but the sales..? I just don't get what we get from having that information or how we would even use that knowledge for anything.
I agree. Unless there ends up being a campaign if some kind. I'll fly over my house and to a few places I've traveled or plan on traveling too but then i think I'll move on.
Why are we supposed to care so much about Microsofts revenue again?
Where did you get $60 from?
Hmmm. MS dominated the next gen news cycle for a whole month before sony released their logo. The ps5 logo got a lot of traction as well, for a few days but that was mostly mocking sony. No doubt that once sony unveils their plans, it'll be an epic event but MS was smart to unveil when they did. It's hard for "surprises, that come out of nowhere" these days but that was one of them. The game awards reached way more viewers than any gaming conference has by far.
I think that if you buy the game, you should get to play it however you want. Easy, Medium, Hard, whatever. Say you really enjoy the game on this easy mode, but struggle with it in medium and don't have the time to commit to it, then just move onto something else. I get that difficult games aren't for everyone but cuphead FEELS like a game for everyone.
