I never got a chance to play it last gen, so if they go all out like Tomb Raider... Im all for it! If its simply upscaled, Ill pass.
Wow, nice. It amazes me how awesome some of these homemade projects look. Those leaves look incredible and would be even more so if physics made them kick up and fly around with wind and character movement.
Hopefully these shots translate bit for bit over to in game action. If so, the game will be beautiful(at the very least).

The game looks phenomenal. Though, one of the few things in life that pisses me off is watching a video of some guy running around in circles and trying the same thing over and over that obviously isnt working. Has this guy never played a third person game before? I cant tell you why it upsets me so much, but it makes me want to jump through the screen and slap him senseless. Hahaha.
That being said... I cannot wait to play this game. Looks like it is going to be a blast!
Yea, I see many Xbox One's wherever I go. Yet no PS4s. It may just be Sony playing the supply and demand game, or they are just selling out as soon as they hit the shelves. I tend to believe the latter, as I hear people talking on these boards and in store isles about trying to find a PS4 and being unsuccessful.
Either way, initial sales and the continued limited supplies are very telling. Sensationalistic journalists can spin it any way they want, but the truth is right ...
I'm going to guess this is going to release sometime in February in the USA. Maybe we will be lucky and it will release at the end of January. I can't wait for it. I love Project Gotham Racing and this game is supposedly the next-generation version of it. Hopefully a force feedback wheel will be announced soon or we can use the PS3 wheels with it. That would make it even better.
I've been using a projector for TV and gaming for the last 20 years. I will be bringing home that ultra short throw projector this summer. I was hoping a 4K projector would be released, I just hope they don't price this thing out of the market for most people. $5000 or less would be a good start point. I can't wait to see it in person. I was going to go to CES this year, but decided against it. Now I wish I would've went. Just to see this projector.
Wow. 2K out of the baseball game. Not a great thing if you want to play baseball on any other console besides the Playstation branded. I, too, would love to see multiple developers take their stab at it. I imagine EA, with how good the character models look in Battlefield, could make a very pretty baseball experience. What makes this impressive is not the architecture itself, but the lighting. Lighting can make any scene look real, if done correctly. No matter what the poly count. You can see what lighting can do for a game as far back as Wreckless for the original Xbox. The poly count wasn't much in the game, but the lighting made everything look more realistic than it actually was.
I'm sure there's great stuff like this on the horizon. Killzone gives a pretty good indication ...
That was a good read and brings up some good points with video games. While we see the flaws and what games can't do, children tend to see the similarities to life in what they can. The world through the eyes of a child. I wish to God I could experience that all over again. What a great time it was.
The game on the 3DO was incredible. Being able to visit endless planets and solar systems... Trade, fight and explore... I cannot wait! What an amazing game.
Or, Sony could just allow us to connect the Dualshock 4 via Bluetooth and the issues are resolved. There is a workaround to get the Dualshock 4 to work with the Vita via remote play, by enabling a second user on your PS4... But the controller still connects via the PS4 and requires you to be within range of it.
I am not sure why Sony didnt implement DS4 support for Vita and remote play out of the box. Considering it connects to the PS4 via bluetooth, it would be an easy imple...

I'm glad the games content wasn't dumbed down to grab a wider audience. It's always nice when a game envelops mature themes, like movies, to bring a more realistic and gritty atmosphere. Especially for a game like this.
This is my most anticipated game. The reason why I jumped into next gen gaming. I can't wait for it.
I truly think that the guy was right in assuming that Sony didn't want to open the checkbook. They don't need third-party exclusives anymore, they have enough of their own that paying anybody outside their doors makes no sense. If they want a Final Fantasy type game, theyll make one.
You see, that is the myth. That isnt what they are doing at all. Read up on it, you may be surprised.
Those upset about the $60 price, should do some research. This game is not a simple HD port. They are reworking all of the textures, character models, physics, lighting.. Pretty much everything. They are doing a ton of work to make sure next gen system owners have the definitive version of the game. Hence, the full price.
Of course they want to help, otherwise they are going to be phased out of existence. This must've really put a big scare into GameStop, especially after their stocks dropped so dramatically after the news. It puts a huge damper on their used game sales, the heart and soul of their business.
