CP68 You always make me laugh with your brainless comments. It doesn't take an 12 year old to figure out that you don't have a PS3. Considering 20+ or so of these comments you've made, when can we expect you to sell your PS3? Lemme know, I'm interested.
Whats to get really glad about this? You can just call in and change your preorder if you got the PS3 version... But the bigger question is why would you buy Rockband2 if you can just purchase songs?
MS must've ponied ALOT of dough to get this exclusivity. Thats the only way I think they could've wrested exclusivity for this title from Sony. This IP is not only HUGE, Sony and Square-Enix have such a huge and long working relationship with each other. Not to mention they are nationalistically tied to each other. I can only imagine how much money was just poured down Square Enix's coffers. Probably 4X what SCE could afford.
- I wonder how the average Japanese game consumer...
Just say it. Its a total ripoff. How is it any different from XMB or Wii?
What cuz its an updown list instead of a left to right? Please.
hahahahah I couldn't help laughing at the blatant XMB / Mii rip-off of a new dashboard. MS should have a little bit more confidence with their interface...It isn't bad you know. But capitulating like that? Priceless.
Death as much as I think your reasoning is sound and you are perfectly intelligent thinker, I would take Ed Fries statement and predictions about the xbox360 over yours any day of the week (I know it sounds deprecating but hear me out). He's a veteran in the industry, he knows how MS thinks and works, and he was involved the Xbox project. He has keen insight both within and without and on top of that, I am ceratin he probably has at least 10 years in experience over you in analyzing what's ...
I beg to differ... I still have my launch PS2 working to this day. I waited in line at 4am at Best Buy in 1999/2000? and its been working ever since. I don't have any problems with it all.
You're right about the CD market trending backwards toward MP3, but here are two arguments why your view doesn't necessarily apply to Bluray. For one there is a space issue that the movies have vs. music. Our current net infrastructure is still so weak that easily downloaded movies are lower res than even VHS and HD movies take hours upon hours. While it maybe viable for music it is 100% assuredly not ready for video yet (obviously FIOS is going to change that... but that's at least another ...
Where will the surge come? I believe starting with Little Big Planet and ending when the console cycle is over. For hardcore gamers, the dearth of titles will 100% end this September. Again as I mentioned before Sony has a fanbase number that xbox360 does not. By that I mean first party developers fans. You can't argue 16 First Party Studios isn't going to churn out at least 30+ exclusives over the next 3-4 years. That's alot of First party titles that the 360 just isn't going to have. L...
I see where you are coming from with the trends but I don't agree with your analysis. We all know who has cheapest console, highly ranked games, online capability and that is the Wii, for better or worse in this generation. As your theory holds, what made the PS2 #1 last gen is why Wii is #1. For the 360 and PS3, we should be looking at the performances of the gamecube and xbox respectively. The 360 is not going to supplant the Wii anytime soon so it is #2 or #3. Looking at past trends, ...
He does make one piece of sense though about the economic crisis looming. Right now, many publishers are probably either scaling back or going all multiplatform. Is it going to dilute MS's IP if software title differentiation from 360 and other platforms is non-existant? I think very much so. I think MS dropping Bungie was a bad idea. Production of AAA Games are getting more and more expensive, and studios need funding from large sources such as MS in order to build really standout titles.
I wish lightsabers that slices through trees would just slice through the enemy already. To me it ruins the effect a bit.
hey I totally agree! I always wondered who played Fran. She had such a rich unique voice, and the accent was killer.
I would've head shot you 3 times with my mouse and keyboard or splitfishfx on my ps3. I guarantee I can flick with my mouse wrist faster than you can lift your wii controller to point at me.
I still think it could've run on last gen hardware....

Black from PS2.
The conduit has alot of vibrant colors going for it, but the building textures and enemies seem last gen to me. Also, the way the shots impact enemies with big glowing circles... looks just like black's "blood"spatters. Only advantage I can really tell is the color.
I agree... this is just some fanboy out there trying to stir up c*ap when there isn't anything to substantial to stirup. Seriously, if you were a director making a war epic or game cinematic, wouldn't you want to use some of the camera angles that LOTR uses? I would... because they are great.
Here's the gametrailer where the shots are taken.

There is definitely LOTR cinemotography heavily borrwowed in SUN, but again the artwork is original albeit LOTR-esque.

If you look at this trailer... the story and cinematics are definite...
... looks who's b1tcin about niggling issues. (pointing @ KingME)
actually that and the fact that the average Korean's internet bandwidth is 10x North Americas... Don't take my word for it though if you disagree. They just have faster connections there for bigger battles w/ more charcs on screen at the same time.
Sony probably had to let this slip b/c Microsoft could afford to spend 50-100 million on breaking exclusivity and Sony couldn't. That's the way it is when your market capitalization is 4x times your competitor's.
