FFVI definitely carries that special weight out of all the Final Fantasies. As mentioned before, it is the only FF where the heroes fail to save the world and the villain destroys it. I think also one of the few where a father watches his wife and children die and where a major badass character dies if you don't wait for him (Shadow). But for me, it was the music driven from that MIDI engine. It was just superb and to me the best Nobuo Uematsu churned out before the games started getting ...

Then if MS is THAT confident in HD digital media downloading for games, let them release Alan Wake, Crysis2, on Xbox Live! They won't because they're hypocrites. It is so obvious that we don't have the bandwidth to handle full fledged downloads yet. And guess what? Bluray is proving that studios want more than 8 gbs to work with on titles.

Answer this idle.... How come the PSPGo which is download based hasn't taken off?

I'm sure the download files for the PSPGo are like 1/3 the size of what DVDs are. The answer is I think Sony has proven already that digital media still fails.

I'd like to see MS put their money where their mouth is and release a FIRST party title via download. LOL we all know that answer.
You know what too? I also get this sinking "feeling" that games will continue t...

This game was amazing for its time and really not dumbed down compared to what's offered today.
Looking forward to this!

I think the fans are being weird about this... They want a muscle bound masculine wizard? If you think about it, Wizards are supposed the nerds and geeks of the fanatsy world, wearing flowing robes and practicing waving wands or staves instead of actually fighting or doing weights... In fact, they do all these experimentation on spells and chemical components... so they should even be a little bit tribal, bohemian or even hippy-ish if you think about it.

They have to break the ...

Activision is trying to stiff about $2 billion dollars in revenue
I spoke with a friend of mine who's brother is #17 employee in Infinity Ward and one of the lead game designers. Everyone in IW is pissed right now because they all believe Activision is trying to stiff them out of $2 billion dollars in revenue / profitshare of this game. It took them 2 years to make this game living off a token salary of like $40k/yr and pulling long hours.

Incidentally i also learned about ...

No that is not what I am saying. However a proof of concept is not the same as actual finished product. Intel's paper details a possibility of analyzing edges and blurring them as a possible alternative to hardware MSAA. To me it would be like the analogy of a paper dealing with the use of combustion to power a moving cart. However, until the car is built, it is nothing more than an idea on paper. It would be like me saying flying cars are possible and showing you a diagram how that migh...

You got disagreed by me Grim for 2 reasons. The first: Just because Intel publishes an article detailing the ideas of a edge blurring process and calls it MLAA, doesn't mean they provided an implementation. They didn't, and 100% guarantee you it never existed on the CELL processor OR any other processor for that matter in commercial form. Eurogamer's analysis article demonstrates they've never seen it anywhere before. Now it exists on the cell.

The second reason u got disagree...

Tisk tisk. You two fanboys are so sly. Almost had me there until I read the articles on MLAA about the Saboteur.

The Saboteur did use MLAA... but only on the ps3. 360 version? NOTHING not even MSAA.

Their implementation was poor because they applied MLAA on the whole screen including the text overlays which resulted in very strange artifacting. Also, as shown in a further article, MLAA unlike classic MSAA is a refining process that is being continually refined. A...

I have the fat ps3 upgraded to 250gb... but I haven't had any of these error problems at all. I'm relieved.

I definitely want this. For what I use it for, it will be perfect. Sketching art, editing photography, and
tabulating inventory and checklisting on the run. I hope they include inkwell finally so I can handwrite notes. Most of you may not get why this product works, but the instant on feature is a sure benefit for certain types of work - something netbooks/notebooks definitely don't do. I know doctors/nurses will love having a wireless 1.5 tablet to take notes on AND have it instan...

No you're missing the point. It's a japanese game and that's how they do things there.

If there is anything about Japan that I've learned from living there over a number of months and studying the language/culture for a number of years...It is that there is pretty no subject matter that CANNOT be broached culturally.

As for DOA Paradise being "denigrating" toward woman (which I don't think is the case, at least in the minds of the creator.)
I present to you a counterpoint argument that shows the supposed "denigration" of men:

That video is hilarious! It's so bad that I actually like it. That music drown out is exactly happens when I have to listen to my gf blabber on and on hahah. Wish i could pull a smoke out too and just puff on it while my mind wanders.

Exactly my thinking... Who has the time to make up all this BS stuff up when there's something called LIFE out there. I swear it has to be their job or something.

N4PS3G, Bungie, or whoever you are. You are one of a very exceptional few of despicable posters I have ever had the displeasure of reading online.

This is about as low as you can possibly go trying to misinform people. I don't know who hired you to handle these PR stunts that you keep doing, but I doubt anyone sane enough to be a regular 360 fanboy could pull the utter bulls**t you manage to do time and time again.

Either you are an insanely obsessive/compulsive ma...

To me 4 out of 10 is saying that a game is too buggy or flawed to play on top of mediocre gameplay... Something like a game crashing every time you reach some critical juncture. A game that is eminently polished and as playable as Heavy Rain shouldn't even be under 5. 5 is a game that works that brings nothing to the table whether in gameplay, story, or presentation.

There is something very wrong when a game review is considering a title as Heavy Rain to be less than average. ...
