Actually you guys are the the ones grasping at straws. If your gonna compare a bluray drive to a bluray player you'd better come up with a price of a Dolby TruHD or DTS HD certified 7.1 sound card to go with that bluray drive. You also need to come up with a bluray drive that accepts blutooth or at least an IR sensor for remote control. You will also need to make sure you have a Video card with an HDMI output. Factor those in and I don't see the $60 you are talking about.
Wow the last part where Alex mentions how he gets to sit down with Tech Directors from all the most talented first party studios blew me away. The ability to just share information like that is something that just doesn't exist anywhere else. No wonder Sony's First part is pushing so many envelopes with console dev.
if you ask me PC Crysis2 > Killzone 3. If you ask me console KZ3 > Crysis 2.

I can agree that Crysis still has the edge in higher quality textures ... but I think Crysis has already fallen behind both Uncharted 2 and KZ in terms of animation and mocap. The NPCs die like paper dolls compared to what KZ does. And your right, it goes to show how far GG has come to becoming a great developer, but it also proves that PS3 has ALOT of muscle for a console.

Guys... get the big picture. Having more features is NOT a sell. The average layman can give a crap about HDMI out, tethering hot spots, or skinable oses. That brings close to ZERO to the table. That's like features for teens or geeks. When is anyone ever going to tether 8 devices to a wifi hotspot in their Freakin life? Like what a Lost episode situation? F**k that, there won't even be f**king wifi or 4g service if some catastrophe happens.

it was never about hardware specs or built-in software in the first place. Remember the first iPod? It was inferior in terms of feature set to everyone of the mp3 players out there. Same thing with the first iPhone. People keep harping on features. Throwing more and more features into a phone to me is a lack of understanding of the consumer and what they primarily value. Apple still has every manufacturer including Android/Google beat in spades in this regard. They understand what it is...

Great High res shots of Mass Effect2 and MW2 for the PC, but neither of them have higher poly NOR higher res textures than the PS3 titles you are working to discredit. Sorry dude. 1920 x 1080 on a 20k poly charc is still 20k. What we should really be looking at is the 50+k poly charcs on Uncharted 2 blown up to 1920 x 1080 to see if having double the poly makes any difference at higher res.

I was surprised that particles still don't bounce in Crysis 2. When they showed footage of destroying the environment.... once again particles and debris just fall straight into the floor without any bounce physics. Haven't the Crysis developers already seen what Killzone 2 did with all the shells and bullet ricochets and explosion particles?
The splintering of the wood and stone looks great and there's definitely alot of particles in the air during firefights....
Apple products don't cost an arm and a leg. They have a price tag for pretty much value to pro niche. It really is a matter of what you prefer, much like the 360 or ps3. For a guy with an Asian user name, you should know better than to perpetrate an urban myth that pretty much every PC mag short of computer shopper has shown, prices are competitive for the spec compared to major OEMs. Apple is a major OEM. Your put-together pc from pricewatch isn't.
Sony should keep revealing titles to show how silly Microsoft and the fanboys are believing multiplats are enough. Seriously, 20+ 1st party studios vs. 2 is going to make a ridiculous difference now that all of them have had a chance to figure out the PS3.

Seriously, does a graphics card really factor in when you need to sync your iphone to your mac or music on your iPod? Mac may only have 11% (btw it's 11%) of the PC market, but Apple ain't sweating with 70-80% of the music player market and 15-20% of the total cell phone market.
