The 2013 X1 would be missing HDR and 4K playback. The 2013 X1 was also 500GB as was the base PS4.

X1S is capable of both 4K playback and HDR. This model will too.

An all digital Xbox One isn’t missing games available at retail though. PSP Go was on numerous occasions, for instance Kingdom Hearts.

Sony also screwed over a large majority of PSP owners by only allowing digital conversion in Japan.

I just hope this is a good sign. Clearly stats have been being tracked and a good amount of things are there. I’m hoping they push stats to the game itself soon.

I really hope they keep up with the Call of Duty Endowment. I like the fact that Activision is eating the operating costs of the Call of Duty Endowment and even putting money into the program themselves.

That’d stop them from doing crossplay with Black Ops 4 at least with PS4 due to the week exclusivity of content. They wouldn’t be able to update the game like that and support crossplay.

For this it seems a tad ridiculous to think it’s due to exclusivity. They could pull the exclusive tracks from crossplay matches but still let PS4 players use the character skins.

I’m an advocate of Activision dropping exclusivity deals like they have with Black Ops 4 and...

“Not to mention that some preorders have prerelease downloads in the form of midnight unlocks or bonus DLC.”

So not really incorrect? If the title you preorder supports predownload and midnight unlock you’re pretty screwed.

“Shut off automatic downloads” shouldn’t be an answer. It’s literally a feature of the PS4 that was present before this policy. So Sony could have better accounted for its own features as Automatic Downloads were even present on PS3 th...

Not to mention that some preorders have prerelease downloads in the form of midnight unlocks or bonus DLC. I know when I preordered GTA V I got the Atomic Blimp & a theme as a download before the game itself released.

If the preorder has either as an incentive that also kills preorder cancellation for a refund, at least according to the way it reads. If you start downloading any part of the package you preorder you’re out of luck.

Ultraviolet titles stick with Movies Anywhere. I’m not sure if they alerted Ultraviolet users or not but Movies Anywhere users were.

I merged my Ultraviolet with my Movies Anywhere some time ago. Movies Anywhere likes doing promos where if you link X service with theirs and merge the title list on Movies Anywhere they’ll give you bonus movies and typically allow you a choice from certain titles.

With the service shut down I doubt that’s an option now thou...

It’s being produced by Sega, comes with two gamepads, includes the AC adapter, and also has HDMI input. Really the only reason it’s listed as “Plug and Play” is because you can play out of the box without any extras.

They haven’t said if the cartridge slot works or not though I have to say from the images it appears that it would.

What you showed i...

A Xbox One native version?

Halo Reach is not currently part of the Master Chief Collection. Like Halo 3: ODST being packed in after launch. Halo Reach is going to be packed in with the Master Chief Collection.

Backwards compatibility is still great as if you have a Xbox 360 version you can still play your existing copy. But this is also great as now Halo Reach players with the Master Chief Collection will receive an upgraded copy too.

Putting it in context PSVR has sold roughly 1/3rd of what PS Vita did and PS Vita is regarded even by Sony as a poor showing with poor sales which resulted in Sony dropping support and third party devs producing mediocre support

So what you’re saying is that Microsoft actively told people their camera could gather data if they’d opted in to such things and that their device was always watching? Please do show me this for one but consider what you just said.

It’s a bad thing Microsoft apparently said Kinect was always watching and gathering data, openly.

Yet you LITERALLY just wrote off the fact that Sony uses their PlayStation branded devices to gather data including audio and vi...

“gathering data through Kinect to sell to 3rd parties”

If that’s a deal breaker for you and you think MS is the only company doing it you should really read the PSN ToS. They've done so since PS3 with any devices including cameras. Includes PlayStation Eye, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation Camera.

“No consumer on this planet has internet that's fast enough for uncompressed 4K/60 streaming.”

There’s your issue right there. How many people will be aiming to stream 4K/60. Not to mention you’re actually listing drawbacks to Stadia specifically even before the product is available to the general public.

The mentality you speak of reminds me of a crybaby. Google is backing this product and saying, “Oh, well this makes things more difficult and we rea...

Do you understand what compression does to a product? IE degrades visual and audio quality?

You also understand that YouTube already compresses content via YouTube and most hate the Google idea of compression the most?

Also, why are product manufacturers worried about outside bandwidth usage? They have customers paying for these services already. The consumer should be more worried about bandwidth usage on their end. If Google is worried about bandwidth t...

I think we have different understandings.

Before Game Center was a separate app that users could possibly open or they could possibly not. The same functionality including achievements is still there and now integrated into the OS. It also now automatically adds your Apple account as your Game Center account without having to manually do so.

Plus being fair Apple didn’t used to support controllers the way they do now. Sure the choices are limited but ther...

Wait, how do you propose early adoption would be pointless unless you already have a library when Family Sharing already exists on iOS letting others download your purchased content? All this service will do is add to that then allow people within Family Sharing to utilize the service without another subscription.
