It already started with him there. Ironically more so compared to before he took the CEO position.
Rare Replay is a great package. Even if you aren't into every game on it there are definitely some gems on there. Plus a lot of Rare Replay has enhanced versions now.
Thirty games like those found in Rare Replay is astounding honestly. It's a lot of content that could definitely occupy people for a good bit. You definitely get your money's worth. The content also extends to all sorts of age ranges and gamer types. I honestly feel like Rare Replay has at least on...
@lodossrage: I think I'd see one purchase of 30 games as that's what it is? One purchase. One sale. Still 30 games.
What then makes the sale, which isn't what's being talked about and the story(poorly) talking about game numbers, not purchases, an indicator of content or the fact that the one title is 30 individual games?
Plus if I went to GameStop or Best Buy I could buy all 30 games individually. But why would I knowing I could buy the c...
@lodossrage: Except for I'm not "technically right". Rare Replay is the title of the compilation package, not an individual game.
Games and titles are two very different things. If you buy The Lord of the Rings collection, The Matrix Trilogy, or multiple other compilation packages(this works for other media as well; games and music namely) you aren't getting one adventure. You're getting multiple. Those compilations are made up of different experiences...
You are aware that Rare Replay isn't one single game correct? It's a compilation of 30 games.
So your math is way off. Xbox Game Pass would have effectively added more than ten games. Likely more than twenty.
33 individual game options. Minus 6 would be 27. If any are repeats Microsoft boosted the number of games still. Not decreased them.
And a title is not equivalent to a game. Since you used the word "games", not ti...
Here is the originating source btw. It's not lying if you call things estimates constantly. Plus it's not Sony.

Individuals should tap Read Our Letter. Their letter actually states that they cannot guarantee the accuracy of anything they're putting out. Plus their whole mission is to identify ways to get more investors for Sony and increase shareholder stocks.
"That headline figure comes about midway through a massive 102-page document called “A Stronger Sony”. In it, investment company Third Point puts forward the idea of splitting Sony into smaller companies for profit."
The document and information isn't from Sony. Third sentence. Further the story itself, on numerous occasions, disputes the 8 million figure.
The rather large oddity easily becomes this. If there are apparently less users than s...
According to the numbers Sony released for users, as Sony has not said anything about sales nor has PD, 7 million. Oh, and GT Planet is also the outlet that reported it. While stating they were getting those statistics from Sony & PD. Which ironically also this story does not state they gained any of their information from Sony or even first parties.

“I am hopeful that this iteration is good, but I strongly suspect it will be a GaaS product where I pay for each area of the world and each plane etc.”
That actually says you don’t know what you’re talking about. Literally. Plus you said it yourself.
If you “suspect” you aren’t in the know.
“That headline figure comes about midway through a massive 102-page document called “A Stronger Sony”. In it, investment company Third Point puts forward the idea of splitting Sony into smaller companies for profit.”
“Needless to say, there are lot of strings attached to that 8M figure. Sony and Polyphony Digital have been notoriously tight-lipped on sales figures, only updating the franchise sales figure 13 months ago to 80.4 million units. That didn’t provide a clear visi...
Yep, because Sony loves to sell you another controller instead of another battery or other battery options.
How’s that cool again?
“But unlike Reiner, Moriarty elaborated a little further by saying that this information comes from developers working with both consoles’ dev kits. Apparently, when working with both, the developers found the PS5 to be more powerful.”
Who’s their source and I’d have to ask. I mean you asked for a source. This rumor doesn’t even have an originating source. 😂
Sony hasn’t said the PS5 will be backwards compatible with all past console generations from Sony. They’ve only shown PS4 games.
...Forced co-op?
I played Journey without ever seeing another person.
Final Fantasy XI as well which for a subscription game had a rather large player base and overall high ratings
RDR 2 has an online mode. Even RDR wasn’t single player only. 🙄
Not to mention as demonstrated by Rockstar already with RDR 2 and GTA V they will be prioritizing multiplayer content over single player content. So wouldn’t that actually say and show that Rockstar is prioritizing their multiplayer work, particularly after a title launches?
Jim Ryan didn’t say anything to The Verge or the author of the story. Literally. 🤭
Direct quote from this submitted story even 🙄
“Sony’s PlayStation 5 is expected to arrive next year. Sony hasn’t made any formal announcements about the console yet, but it has revealed a handful of specs and details in interviews executives have done in the lead-up to E3. So far, we know the PS5 will support 8K graphics and run off of an eight-core CPU based on AMD’s Ryzen chips, with a GPU based on AMD’s Radeon hardware. It’ll support ray tracing, and there’ll be ...
I’d rather use a Xbox controller myself. Microsoft has proven to be the better driver provider for mobile devices and PC when it comes to their controllers in particular.
Less effort getting them to connect, less effort getting one to one functionality, and what seems to be more responsiveness.
@Mr_Writer85: MS says the same thing I do. It's 30 games.
