Right? Particularly when the emulator would run more titles than the NES Mini.

@ziggurcat: Half of what you just stated is utter nonsense.

http://nesbox.com/console/

No, a court would not find MS liable either. MS has no part in the production of said emulator. They are also not hosting ROMS, allowing users to download ROMs to the console, directing users to download ROMs for any platform, creating the same ROMs, nor stating that this emulator only runs "illegal ROMs" whi...

The emulator hosted does not provide ROMs but a way to execute ROMs. Microsoft is not hosting ROMs either nor is there a way to directly download ROMs to the Xbox One.

It is also 100% possible to backup already owned games as ROMs for execution. Xbox One does not allow you to do so nor this emulator. If people choose to download said ROMs online they are doing so based on their own choice. MS is also no part of these sites hosting ROMs. That comes down to the user and site ...

The same emulators have been around long before Nintendo announced the Mini. Nintendo has long been aware also C&Ding anything they can that doesn't line their pockets.

The same emulators exist for Android as well so it's quite funny to see you pinpointing MS.

The difference would be easy in the situation.

Sony would be backing a dev to make said emulator thus being affiliated with said emulator.

The emulator approved has nothing to do with MS. Its been out for some time, developed by a third party. MS is also not hosting ROMs the emulator would use.

@Aenea: That is actually contradictory of what is stated in this story.

"But if you're playing multiplayer games, it will be the same playing field. Base PS4 users, PS4 Pro users, you're still running the same frame rate. Yes, you're running at a higher resolution, you might be seeing it in HDR, but overall it's a level playing field. We're not benefiting the PS4 Pro users and skewing the community."

Resolution may be differe...

@fr0sty: Uncharted 4 doesn't even offer 60fps for multiplayer. Killzone Shadow Fall doesn't run at a locked 60. Battlefield titles don't hit 60. All signs point to Gran Turismo Sport not being locked to 60.

There are PLENTY of examples out there of games on PS4 not hitting or being locked to 60fps.

I swear every time I see a comment from you it's more misinformation.

Games on PC have allowed huge variances for some time ...

Capcom charged people to get Move support for RE5 by locking it to the Gold Edition. Users also had to buy a new version of MotorStorm Pacific Rift to receive 3D.

Exclusives won't exist for PS4 PRO as confirmed by Sony. It'll merely upscale PS4 content when possible.

Scorpio on the other hand has been said to potentially have its own games plus play all Xbox One content.

@fenome: I'll feel free to spend $100 less, allow myself 4K as an option, and still play games on the very same machine thanks.

Oh sorry. I see you're desperate enough to insinuate Xbox One has no games and is a glorified media player. Even though Xbox One has most of the same games PS4 has then touts exclusives of its own.

I'll also save more hundreds with the option of BC instead of being nickle and dimed by "remasters".

I had three PS4s and sold them.

So no, 40 million PSVRs isn't going to happen. They'd be lucky to move 10 million.

The porn industry also accepted 3D. Doesn't change the fact most claim 3D did nothing.

@Juangie3: Who said anything about free? People keep stating the entry price is $400. It is assuming you have the camera which to this point has been sorely underutilized. So if you're like the majority you don't own the PS camera. Even if you find one for the stated $50 price that turns entry into $450.

Then if we continue as the same user pointed out if you choose two Moves, even at $30 each, that becomes $510 while the bundle costs $500.

The br...

@fr0sty: Yeah, not quite.

The PS Camera IS NOT included with the $400 standalone PSVR.

Plus... Did you really just try to include the breakout box as an accessory? Without the breakout box the PSVR would be absolutely useless as the breakout box is doing processing.

Uh...

I'm glad to know you aren't a journalist yourself.

The controller pictured isn't a rumor. It's being produced by a third party company. This story highlights that Sony are not releasing it as previous stories attempted to Sony brand the device.

That's the thing. Both Scorpio and Neo are confirmed to play Xbox One and PS4 titles boasting upgrades.

If you don't upgrade you miss out on a few titles that are exclusive just as you will if you don't get into VR.

People seem to be harking on that Neo and Scorpio will be PS5 & Xbox 2 or whatever they go with. Think of Neo and Scorpio as vitamins for your system. They're going to enhance the experience but not replace it.

Nope, doesn't look like anything was missed.

"To be honest, there aren’t many differences between the original and this “new HD” mode (other than some additional lighting effects, some extra filtering and better aspect ratio scaling)."

Did Sony establish 3D, 4K, Vita, PS Eye, AR, or multiple other things as "mainstream"? No, they did not.

3561d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

Just as one could choose to buy Neo and Scorpio no?

There are PC games out there that not all configurations or specs can play. They get the same. If you want to play it then you upgrade.

There is no "no exclusive mandate" on the Xbox One. Greenberg commented there is. As usual without having a clue. Another employee came out and said directly it'd be up to developers.

There will be exclusives. I keep stating it. Player base is fragmented literally all the time.

PS Move saw and may see exclusives. There will be PSVR exclusive games. There are things that only work with PS Eye and the PlayStation Camera. Kinect exclusives. The...
