PS2 Slim eliminated HDD support the original PS2 had
@Pandamobile: It does matter when Battlefield fans say Battlefield is more realistic and CoD is arcade-like. Isn't that also why stereotypically Battlefield players are "adults" & CoD is for "kids with A.D.D."?
@game4funz: What sidescroller are you talking about? AC Chronicles which is free on the 16th?
Neither Forza Horizon nor Earthlock are sidescroller.
PS4 BC is not going to happen. Particularly when Sony can continue charging for the same content multiple times. PS3 & PS2 games have already seen remasters. PSOne will follow suit shortly with Crash being remastered.
Sony even dropped the ball by making PS Now users repurchase their already digital purchases again. If anything close to BC was coming to PS4 that would've been the easiest way to start delivering it.
Don't forget they're also shortening production time.
Battlefield used to wait two years then release Medal of Honor in between. Hardline was released in March 2015 leaving a year and a half in between then Battlefield 4 in October 2013. The last Medal of Honor game released in October 2012.
Medal of Honor was scrapped with the last entry based on the game failing on multiple levels.
You know how to tell when people are bluffing? This is one of those times...
PS4 nor PS3 allow games to be stored on an external drive.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One do however.
GTA SA PS3 is 2.1 GB. PS4 is 3 GB. 360 is 2.05.
That however is an over decade old game which released two console generations ago.
How about we try something newer?
GTA V PS3 is 17.2 GB. PS4 is 41.8 GB. Xbox 360 is 16 GB and Xbox One is 52.39 GB.
You're thinking handheld while the topic is home console.
I suppose if you want handheld experiences on a home console...
Titanfall released in March 2014. Battlefield Hardline released in March 2015. Battlefield 4 released in October 2013.
Meaning Titanfall 2 has had over two years. Battlefield less than a year and a half. If one gets delayed it should be Battlefield as EA expects it to do less than previous entries and Titanfall to do more.
So you say the roles are reversing with Scorpio being reportedly more powerful than Neo, Xbox One S saw increases with a smaller form factor which one is reported to be missing with PS4 slim, Microsoft is coming out in favor of a more open platform, and Sony just wants that quick buck banking pretty well solely on PlayStation as its other properties continue to fold?
Sony has been busy acting like MS at the start of last gen. MS is busy repairing their gaming division whic...

There is nothing that says Scorpio won't have exclusives. They've merely stated Scorpio will play all Xbox One games and allow use of its accessories.
PSVR will have games exclusive to it leaving out people who don't own the device. PS3 had Move exclusive titles. The PS4 has things th...
Snoop Dogg has long been an advocate of CoD and Xbox
@Future_Gohan: The lower sales expectations of BF1 from EA could also prove your point to be incorrect. If people wanted a WW1 based shooter the sales figures would reflect that by being higher than previous entries.
The "hate" is exactly that. Haters gonna hate.
@Aenea: "(Edited 1h ago)"
"(except for the later rumoured launch datenon the scorpio)."
Also from the video clip on the MS Scorpio link provided:
At 1:01 - "So we gave the SOC 6 teraflops of computing capability to be able to handle 4K resolutions. Gamers are going to get the most powerful graphics processor that's been put into a game console to date."
At 2:41 - "The box we're building is going...
Rumored? MS made an announcement about Scorpio on stage.
Holiday 2017
6 TFlops compared to 1.31
4K media and gaming compared to 4K media only and no 4K
MS even has a page set up for Scorpio

Even the Xbox One S boasts 4K media, HDR support, and slightly increased specs. Scorpio will exceed it.
...Aren't the PSVR bundles including the original Move controllers? If so why wait to introduce a new Move controller until after people buy the old ones?
Holy hell.
Do you want to buy your DLC separately for a higher price?
No, you want the DLCs free. Well, tough one hrm? You're going to pay for it if you want the DLC regardless. At least these season passes save you a little and usually offer exclusive items not available otherwise.
@CPTN MITCHELL: No part of that statement is an opinion or even close.
Plus regardless there's still plenty of people enjoying the game.
*Looks at title along with this very same article*
EA has touted Battlefield to be a CoD killer for awhile now and at every turn has fallen flat. In this same article it's outlined that this one will fall short of previous entries.
So, is that a success? Is that not underperforming based on the same previous entries?
@Paytaa: As soon as you mentioned CS then say people don't go back for nostalgia I couldn't help but laugh a little. People choose Source, 1.6, and 1.5 over Go all the time. For exactly that reason. Nostalgia. Really to the point it becomes a fact that previous entries of CS are better than Go.
