True, but do you remember how the PS3 and 360s were doing a month before the big price drops? Here's a reminder:

And look at things now. $100 can really change the way people look at things. Big changes, big changes...
WTF? Did you honestly think I wrote that to try to make PS3 seem more appealing??
I could care less, dude.
Oh, we are sir!
Just because you can't tell by that one game doesn't mean we aren't buying. Take a look at the big exclusives on both platforms for 2009:
360:
ODST = Just under 2 million
Forza 3 = ... not 1 million? (beat by new IP, Borderlands)
Total - 2.75 million
PS3:
Killzone 2 = Just over 2 million
inFamous = just over 1 million
Uncharted 2 = 1.5 million
Demon's Souls = 1 million
(...
No wonder why I couldn't sign in this morning... thanks MW2.
It's like whenever a good game comes out (once every blue moon), all the XBL players flood the servers to play. Really shows how much variety is within that community. I can't remember the last time I saw a friend play a racing game, RPG or even a music rythym game on there.
Still a great accomplishment, though!
Says the guy who couldn't afford a $600 machine with every feature built-in... at no extra cost
.... by saying 750 900k....
you basically said it sold 750,900,000 on PS3.
Selling 7 million makes it a better looking game?
So many great FPSs this generation!
Killzone 2
COD4
Modern Warfare 2
Halo 3
Resistance: FoM
Resistance 2
Those are just some of my favorites. My top would honestly have to be Resistance, though. I'm not sure which, but there's something about the game that separates it for me. I agree that Killzone 2 was great, though.
Nice! Statistics based on opinions are always accurate! /sarcasm
Here's a fact based on real statistics:
PS3 is wanted more than the 360 this holiday season. I can find the link if you want, but it was based on extensive surveys. The sales also show that this happens to be true.
Ever think that PS3 owners have a lot more games to choose from than just Modern Warfare 2?
You probably haven't.
Fox, Fox, Fox.....
It's not Modern Warfare 2 that allows children to play as a terrorist. The older audience and parental guardians are allowing them play. The rules are set, it's up to everyone responsible to enforce it.
Does it matter if it's not exclusive? Did I say it was a PS3 exclusive?
Since when did the fact that it's on multiple consoles matter to you? If I can recall, many of you called Uncharted 2 a flop because it didn't sell "Halo numbers", despite selling over 2 million quickly on one console, and with hardly any popularity or major publicity.
And another thing. Did I ever say it was due to sales? I might've been writing out of context. Check out the reviews. I...
I never said they shouldn't talk about it, but for it to be the topic of discussion?
Must be a slow news day.
The rest of the media may or may not be "in the tank" for Obama. One thing is for sure. Fox confuses their own opinion for news way too much.
Ladies and Gentlemen.
Let me introduce you to *drum roll*
The Halo Killer.
FOX = The laughing stock of media
Obama was at Fort Hood, a mad sniper was just executed, anniversaries were going around for the Berlin Wall and Sesame Street, and it's even Veterans day, but they choose to talk about a video game?
I mean, I understand it's a pretty graphic scene in the game, but...?
There is way too much going around this month to be talking about a video game on a show that's supposed to bring you "fair and balanced news".
They did it with Call of Duty 4, I don't see why they thought they should skip it this time around. They ended up in a bigger risk by saying "meh, it'll sell anyways".
Still, I know they're working on it as we speak. IW cares about gamers =)
Sony released a $600 console with an unproven format (Blu-Ray) and hardware that was almost too powerful for developers to handle.
Microsoft released a console with no HDD and launched it knowing it had failure problems to begin with just to get out before Nintendo and Sony.
Nintendo..... releases enhanced games from the 1980s that were already popular, and tries to appeal to an audience much bigger than theirs (non-gamers).
I think out of the three, Son...
That was actually a reply to corey lol
@Ken:
First- Give me two more 360 exclusives from 2009 and I'll add it up.
Second- That 1 million was an error. Instead, why don't you add total sales of that game and A Crack In Time? That should do it.
@Shingles:
You also failed to mention it sold less than half of what Halo 3 did in one day. With a logic like yours, it must be a flop. Also, why would it matter which one sold it faster? Point is, they both eventually reached 2 million. That won't...
