Why I Wouldn't Pay $100 For XBL:
Because it's not worth paying that much. $50 is debatable. $100? No.
Oh stop...
Just because they have a strong bias doesn't make them any less of a gamer. To me, they happen to be unfortunate gamers for not being able to experience all good games.
If I only watch movies on Blu-Ray disc and completely ignore Netflix or movie theaters, would that make me any less of a movie fan? Of course not.
Fanboys are gamers, hardcore gamers are gamers and casual gamers are gamers. Fanboys are just simply more passionate than some othe...
you are SOO FUNNY!
BTW, everything looks like an average game after Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
Judging by what you consider great-looking games, you have played no other console but a 360. Play something else. Maybe you won't be so blind.
Definition of "video game":
An electronic or computerized game played by manipulating images on a video display or television screen.
Heavy Rain is a video game in every sense of the word. If anything, all video games are "interactive movies" with some (if not, most) having terrible storylines. Who says video games were meant to be created like Uncharted or Halo? Just because you aren't controlling their every move? Just because you don't hold a gun ...
Misleading titles make me cringe.....
It's always been multiplat. It's called PC.
Either way, if he really did leak the PS3 version, he clearly separated PS3 and PC from his sentence, with a nice big space between the two.
I wouldn't really call Natal a "motion controller". It's more of a "Mo-Cap Camera", similar to the PS Eye.
I'm really happy for Nintendo and their success with the Wii, but I despise the tactic they used to get there. They sacrificed the "hardcore" experience in gaming and made it an industry that tries to cater to the casual.
It's sad to see that this looked like the only way they could be successful at this point. It was a cheap move, not for their competitors, but for us. Because of casual invasion, my games are hardly ever challenging. Sure it can bring new friends, but ...
oh lol, I get it now =p
huh? lol, I don't think I understand
Nice counting skills, chris.
Anyways, I really enjoyed Halo 2. Halo 3 I enjoyed, as well, but it didn't give me the excitement that Halo 2 did. I think that was a result of overhyping. Same for GTA IV, except that game just plain sucked. At least Halo 3 tried and was fun for the moment. Then COD4 was released....
Resistance isn't about fantasy space marines.
Uncharted 2: PS3 Exclusive
Halo ODST: 360 Exclusive
Neither of them outsold GTA IV. Apparently, everything is a flop.
wtf? The PS3 has nothing to do with this..
For all you know, this could be written by a Nintendo or PC fanboy. A little paranoid, aren't we?
Yup, for PS3 Owners, it's like owning a temporary separate disc worth a $50 subscription... only it's free.
That's pretty cool, considering you're paying a whole $50 a year on that one thing.
Dude, you just proved his point. He's talking about how some fanboys claimed Uncharted 2 didn't sell what Halo sold, making it a flop. Unfortunately for them, they failed to realize that pretty much every game ever made is a flop, including ODST, since, you know, it didn't sell what Halo 3 or GTA IV did.
I'm glad people are actually aware of new IPs, now! This means people are more acceptable of new things, which will hopefully get developers more comfortable with their crazy ideas.
Oh, and ShadowMan. Multi-plat VS Exclusive? Did you read the article thoroughly? The XBOX 360 VERSION of Borderlands beat Forza 3. It's not even counting the PS3 version.
"It's free to use because, pretty much, the only thing you can do in it is buy stuff... They aren't doing YOU any favors by making Home free, trust me."
Is that still a reason to complain about it?
And you can also party up with friends, launch any game with them, play mini-games, enter in contests to win actual games (SOCOM and Warhawk, for example) and watch TV shows, exclusive interviews, movie shorts and soon-to-be full length movies and shows at the Th...
I thought the definition of "gamer" had to do with playing games? Not becoming the Ghandi of the gaming industry and loving all consoles or games equally. I am (or at least was until GTA IV) a GTA fanboy, so I didn't like Saints Row or any copy-cats. I still play games nonetheless. No where does it say a gamer has to enjoy or appreciate all consoles.
Anyway, maybe a different analogy will work for you:
If I like Stephen Spielberg films, but hated his la...
