$100, huh? Let's check out the list. What would we need to reach closest possible PS3-status:
Low-Grade Xbox 360 = $200
Wifi Adapter = $100
Online Fee = $50 a year
Smallest Possible HDD = $40
Blu-Ray = N/A
Bluetooth = N/A
AA Batteries Over time = N/A
Still Risk =
RROD
E74
Scratched Disc
Overheating
For a total of at least $390 for year 1, $370 if you use the other wifi adapter.
annnndd HEY LOOK! It's fixed.... without a $100 wifi adapter OR 100 foot cable!
PS: It's the game, not the system. Gosh, I really love how you guys don't know much of anything. It's like teaching little kids.
That's nice. Too bad you aren't "playing" this $100 add-on.
First the PS3 is too expensive and now expensive is good? Great spin, there. 10/10 *golf claps*
That was the saddest thing I've ever heard. You honestly had to try a make that a good thing.
Wait... you HAVE to be joking. For the love of god, please tell me that was sarcasm. You now have permission to repeatedly punch yourself in the face, because that statement was well, well worth it.
*sigh* I feel so bad for you sometimes. I wish I could help you.
As if they weren't pushing ads enough. It annoys me enough when I have to sit through an ad before a YouTube video...
MW2 = 96 metacritic
U2 = 96 metacritic
I'd say they both have an equal shot. Correction - GOTY Contender confirmed
PS: A story that redefined storytelling in gaming even after MGS4, or a game with a short campaign and an enhancement of an already perfected multiplayer (thanks to COD4). Which deserves it most?
My list of GOTY Contenders (off the top of my head):
MW2
U2
inFamous
ODST
Killzone 2
Assas...
They do have some amazing games. I just hope that with this statement doesn't lead them to be the way they were years ago. The arrogant EA.
Keep up the good work, though, EA =)
If they had it that way, Warhawk would've had terrible review scores because the campaign was stripped altogether, yet the multiplayer had enough power and replay value to keep gamers going. And if Uncharted 2 were to be any longer in campaign, it wouldn't have been as compelling story-wise. Sometimes it's best to have a short story, unless it's a story that was simply cut in half. That just wouldn't make sense.
And although there is a multiplayer component, a game like Heavenly Sword reaches at least 7 hours, but gets points deducted from certain sites because of it.
Yet, of course, Modern Warfare 2 didn't. Personally, I think points should be deducted for bad performance under a category that is factored into the score and that the game already has (multiplayer, co-op, split-screen, etc.) and not deducted for things that the reviewer "wishes" it had.
Also, points...
It's a hobby. There's no real point to it. It helps and hurts in different ways.
I play games like I watch a movie or I go swimming, skateboarding, socializing, etc. It's all to keep me sane and out of the "work is life and life is work" mentality. Money is a lot (and I mean, A LOT) of things, but not everything. Therefore, gaming is my way of keeping the idea of constantly doing something in life that will get me somewhere, and putting it in my pocket for a later time....
And you don't think any action-adventure game will be playing catch-up with Uncharted 2? After a story like that, and a polished multiplayer...
"...A bit too short for our liking, but at least the different difficulties change the game significantly"
Didn't mention this in the U2 review. It was still short, but I remember hearing from other reviews (and personal experience) that the game is challenging even on easy (on co-op). Going from tough on easy, to almost impossible on crushing seems like a game-changer to me...
Can anyone tell me why a game with a widely-praised story was given the cold sho...
Check out the Gametrailers review for Uncharted 2.
I think it's weird they say they can't wait 15 minutes to play a multiplayer AND SINGLEPLAYER game, but they can wait, what, 4 years for a console that should've been fixed by Microsoft years ago.. which still hasn't happened.
1. For 15 minutes
2. I'll probably be in class, and almost everyone else SHOULD be at work.
3. Use those 15 minutes to play a bit of campaign and get comfortable with controls or, get this, do something productive with your life... be we all know that'll never happen.
If this writer took his time to realize why Netflix requires a disc, maybe the whole list wouldn't seem so biased. That, along with the fact that nothing bad was said about the 360. I can name a few:
"Facebook and Twitter Apps On 360... For Gold Members."
"360 Gets A Big Exclusive... 9 Months Into The Year"
"Forza NOT The Definitive Racer"
etc.
I think it's "An Eight Days Rip Off?"
you gotta love imitations of professional journalism!
Anyways, whether it's a rip off or not, we won't consider it that until Eight Days gets rolling again and released. And even then, people still won't say that because Uncharted 2 was out first. That's always how it works.
First they get caught playing Wii, now they get caught stealing PS3 games.
No one is "our developers". They are people who make our games. That's it. No relationship, no connection. We give them money in turn for entertainment, and life goes on. If I enjoy Insomniac's games, I'll pay them for more.
Do I need to tell anyone that Insomniac is better than everyone else? Nope, because I also like Uncharted from Naughty Dog, COD from Infinity Ward and Fallout from Bethesda.
It's Valve's loss of money if they choose to not entertain me....
Hang on there, cowboy.
We wanted MW2 fixed, not laggy.
