I really don't care if there is a Coke vending machine in my GTA games. I'm not gonna look at it and say "ooh, the agony!! Ahh, I can't play this game now?!!"
I can understand if it's getting in my way, but seeing Burger King billboards and Mountain Dew vending machines all make my gaming experience much more realistic and familiar.
How many times have you seen a Burger Shot in Grand Theft Auto and thought "haha, it's a Burger King parody!"

You really.... REALLY need something better to do. Every single long-winded mentally dysfunctional post you make has to do with sales sales and more sales. I have never seen you post about review scores, which, you know, would make the game good?! Not the sales? NOT ONCE have you EVER thought about comparing ODST scores to Killzone 2 scores, have you?

One goes from (what would be) $75.00 to $22.00 in "just over a week"
to the other going from $60.00 to $40.00 in over a month.
Either way, they're both great deals!

They can't put on Sony's old arrogant attitude, especially when they haven't reached success with a console like Sony & Nintendo has. If you want more people to be attracted to your console, you have to make a compromise.

PS3 truly can be huge by the end of it's life cycle, but considering the PS2 is the most successful console of all time, it has some work ahead of it.
Still, what's happening to the PS3 happened to the PS2 when it was it's age. Almost exactly the same situations, even with the huge spike after PS2 Slim's release.

An open platform as in you can create and distribute your own theme, install a different OS and use any HDD, among other things. It might not let you do the things Apple lets you do, but it's the most open video game platform out there this generation.
None of that needs approval.

Saaking and PIETRO are both wrong. It has games, just not many good ones... not many at all.
I hope Sony opens up an Applications icon under the PS3's XMB so Home, Life with PlayStation, Photo Gallery and all that can go under it! And then they can open an Apps section for the Store!

The PS3 WAS getting outsold by the 360 when it was $100 higher than before, had no commercial marketing and had no real identity. Now we know it's been outselling the 360 ...

Anyway, I looked through metacritic like you requested and found that the Uncharted 2 (a PS3 exclusive, if you didn't know) happens to be higher up on the All Time Charts compared to the two games you praise to death (Gears of War ONE and Halo 3, which are tied at 94, BTW)
Not only that, but Uncharted 2 is the highest rated exclusive title of all time. The highest 360 ...
