You can't just congratulate the winner and move on, you stupid ho!?
1st of all, people expected wayyy too much out of Modern Warfare 2.
Second, Killzone 2 wasn't what the first game was, which makes it far from a disappointment in my book.
DJ Hero... never played it, but doesn't seem like a disappointment based on the awards it got.
AWESOME!
I'll be buying this as soon as my stupid Debit card decides to work.
.... ROFLMFAO
I needed that. Thanks
LMAO!
It was definitely an underwhelming year for the 360 in terms of good exclusives. Of course, no 360 fanboy would approve of this...
Same with PS3 fanboys from a couple of years back. 2007 was an underwhelming year, with only 1 or 2 5/5 exclusive games (Ratchet & Clank is the only one I could remember) while the 360 hit it's prime with Halo 3, Crackdown and Mass Effect. 2008 was more in favor of PS3 with many exclusives (Motorstorm 2, LBP, Resistance 2, MGS4, etc) while the 360...
Ahhh.... brings back memories..
"Wow. Is MW2 an exclusive now?"
1. It's exclusive in Japan, so when it comes to these sales, yes, it is exclusive. Plus, this is VERSUS we're talking about. That's PS3 exclusive worldwide, if I'm not mistaken.
2. As for the second part of your post, talking about imaginary percentages and claiming the 360 port will be better also brings me back...
"Where is your source for the 1st fact?" <...
Maybe because MGS4 was built with Western collaboration. Final Fantasy is all Japanese. Of course, I could be wrong.
lol quite comical.
I know, right? psh lol
At least on 360, we had cool games like..... umm...
YOU.HAVE.ONE.BUBBLE.
NO.ONE.CAN.HEAR.YOU
STOP.WASTING.YOUR.TIME.
THANK YOU
"except halo.
lol"
And how'd that work out for them this year? It didn't win GOTY back when in 2007 with Halo 3, and it didn't win this year even with 2 Halo games out. Not to forget it took over 2 months to reach close to 2 million.
lol
Oh, and PS: The game that had a chance to be Game of the Year 2009, Modern Warfare 2, lost out to the game that "halo could stop"... LOL
I think the only reasons Killzone 2 didn't edge U2 out is because U2 has more than 2 colors. Both games are GORGEOUS regardless, but I really don't know which I would personally choose. Killzone 2 might do gray and brown a lot, but it does it more beautifully than any other.
My vote was inFamous, but it's nice to see a game as challenging as Demon's Souls to take it home.
U2 selling 650K? It sold 1.5 million a month ago, which was less than a month after it came out. Flop? not.
I have to LMFAO at the fact that you fanboys tried to bash PS3 sales (failed), tried to bash PS3 price (failed), tried to bash PSN (failed), tried to bash good exclusives (failed) and tried to bash PS3 features (failed). But after all this has come and gone. After all the smoke is cleared, you now have to turn to how many games we buy? Honestly? Let me be captain obvious he...
I wish
Bungie knows how to take advantage of consumers that will eat up anything.
Watch whoever owns the Twilight movies to do the same. Stupid tweens...
I'm glad it got some recognition, even with Uncharted 2 dominating scores and praise, and MW2 dominating sales.
Killzone 2 was a masterpiece. If there weren't so many great games this year, that probably woulda won GOTY mostly everywhere.
@ps3hasnogames:
They never said that about 2006 or 2007. They said it about 2008, 2009 and now 2010.... and it's been true every year. A console can have more than one year, you know.
It would be plenty for a developer to sell 1 million units. It does depend on how much they actually spent during development, but people have to realize that selling 1 million units doesn't mean making $1 million. That would be approx. $60 million. If a company spends $25 million developing that game, it's $35 million in their pockets as profit.
For example, Killzone 2 cost GG $20 million. After a few weeks, GG already surpassed what they spent.
It's definitely not ...
