Lightning,
While you make some valid points, there are some people who actually prefer the Xbox Eco system over PS, let's say the Xbox X/S caps out at 40 million sold at the end of the lifecycle, that is a fair amount of players and a lot guaranteed GP subs...the thing that counts to them, and they don't have to share profit with another console maker, for those particular gamers.
Additionally, I have been gaming for a long time, and people should...
I'm an Xbox fan. and I would love the chance to play with/against PS players in some MS games.
Why meltdown? it only equals a more diverse player base and more fun.
Huh?
So, you do not want the upcoming Halo games, but you see the glory days coming back?
Are you saying the MCC on PS5 will bring back the glory days?
Why wouldn't you want the upcoming game on PS5 with UE5?
The "green camp" smh...
Anyway, yes a "Flex" is when you use a piece of information to prove your point, but use it in very pompous way....like this.
"bUt, bUt...iT'z a FlOp cAuSe iT'Z sTiLl AvAiLabLE eVeRyWhErE"
So no, my conclusion was spot on.
Wtf did I just read.
So a company making and releasing a console, and not expecting a lot of sales and saying they have tempered expectations,is something for you to brag about now?
What a weird ass flex by you.
No, it would not be like saying that.
How long have you been gaming, or is it just your inability in this particular thread to post a compelling argument?
S2,
Your post reads and seems to contradict the way things work. For starters,
"There are a lot of amazing games for it but not enough to make it a console on its own"
My emphasis here is on the words "a lot" because a lot of quality games would be the reason people would pick up a headset or make it enough to be a "console on its own."
"we look at the last generation of VR. Even on ...
S2,
You should re-read your comment, think about it a bit, and then re-read it to fully comprehend what you typed, which is so off-base that it's almost comical.
The Switch games looked very pleasing, loved the style.
Personally, I don't think it will sell well, they may move a few units, but it's a 5-year-old game with a mixed reception even at launch.
Now you launch it right in the middle of Xbox gamers playing CoD, D4, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R right around the corner, then Indy following shortly after.
I think whatever sales small sales they get on Xbox, they should put it in GP so they can get the fee from MS, and then build a presence for the game among Xbox game...
The Switch is a great system..you don't seem like you would buy Switch 2 anyway.
Also by your logic, PS3 and Xbox 360 were old pieces of shit, they lasted like 10 years..old systems are not crap because new ones launch lol.
Maybe not a good thing....but it is indeed a thing that brings in money, a lot of it actually...that is why Sony is chasing it, and neglecting 1st party single player games, they are desperate for a Cod, Fortnight or GTA:Online live service game.
Lol
It looks nice for sure, but looking nice has never been Horizon's problem.
They will do well and have a good following, but as far as "killing" Diablo 4 is nonsense, they missed that boat when D4 was vulnerable. D4 has been patched and updated so much that people are truly enjoying the game. By the time this comes out, D4 will have even more content, and that is assuming PoE2 has a smooth launch.
I did read, they are trying to cut cost, they cannot keep up with the rising cost of development is the point.
My main point of 'bleeding internally" is the fact that they won't be able to keep up with the rising cost, so that is why they are throwing Gaas against the wall and hoping stuff something sticks, also why PC games are coming earlier than 1 year...their current model cannot and will not sustain PlayStation and they know it.
Is "...
My bad on 34 million...I though I saw someone on an interview say 34mill.
Correction: 30mill
It also tells you they are making money.
Yes I said their loyal fans are keeping them in the green.
The way they handling this gen, and live service, and growing, faster PC releases may not see the same come next gen...but we will see.
Agreed, timed exclusives is the way to go for them, and so far everything concerning OG IPs that they have done has shown that is the path they are doing.
And if Indy is an example to go by, new IP will follow the same pattern of Xbox first and PS later.
Cod, Diablo, Doom and other franchises that have a big PS following I think will be the only day one games(possibly fully Gaas games as well).
