Maybe they can give CoD a 2 year release window, for 2 years keep doing season and adding new stuff, it's cheaper, and brings in more money from DLC.
First year buyers pay $70 like normal, after that year, anyone not willing to buy it can get it on GP, and if they retain some players they can boost the player base and spend money on DLC.
All spectacular games...all highly recommend...but man I think Split Fiction was the most fun I had with a game in a long time...I can't recommend it enough....go play it now if you haven't...no seriously, go now!!

I don't wanna speak for Christopher, but like most of us we recognize that Sony's output this Gen has been way below their own standards.
Also Sony did buy a fair amount of Devs, I know you will say they were not publishers, and don't compare in size, but they had their fair share of Aquisitions, including the very well established Bungie.

I like a good multiplayer (PVE) game with my friends.
Single-player games are getting a little too same-y feeling for me; that is not to say they are bad, I'm just enjoying the dynamic nature of multiplayer games more recently.

Some games don't sell well, plain and simple. We can name 100s of games that missed the mark, and had nothing to do with Game Pass, Final Fantasy, Metroid Prime 4, and Control, to name a few. Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 were never big properties to begin with.
