But I don't recall people saying the games would be exclusive to Xbox, as a matter of fact the entire FTC court trial was MS saying the games wouldn't be exclusive.

In reality, it was Sony, and PS only fans that were saying MS was gonna buy these pubs to keep the games from gamers, Sony fans even filed a separate law suite to that exact effect (it was shot down of course). So if anything the fear mongering of keeping games exclusive was Sony, and PS only fans.

Haha, that made me laugh for real.

Good one.

Truth is, I have no shortage of games on Xbox, or PS, or Switch...I literally have the worst backlog I can recall.

Wrong, first, I play every system...I just also like my Xbox.

And no, every single generation all I truly care about is the games, which make sense since I'm a gamer.

This again ...yawn.

Bring on the games...

This is an excellent proposition for Xbox.

There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Their whole multiplatform push manifests in different ways while maintaining the brand for the gaming population that enjoys the Xbox ecosystem.

When you can't win in one lane, the best thing to do is switch/create another lane(s).

Exactly this lol...

I wonder how long you have to own something before it's considered yours lol.

Chevalier,

Wow, you really can't comprehend, points
He said:
"Notch made a popular game"

In attempt to make it not a MS game, how long does a company have to own something before it's considered theirs? You and other praise Sony for Helldivers 2, and count Destiny as Sony...you do know Arrowhead is independent, and Bungie was bought right? What about insomniac? Bluepoint, fairgames and a great deal of other studios? Are the...

@ Chevalier,

Smh...name calling shame on you lol.

Anyway, of course I realize that, but that is irrelevant to what Christopher said..he said "Go A/B", he singled out one particular reason, I pointed out that it was not "even" before they acquired A/B, so the point stands, comprehension is key, and not angry, fanboy nonsense.

Sony bought Bungie(Destiny), Arrowhead was not Sony owned either, MLB is licensed sports gam...

So did Bungie, and Arrowhead.

Your point?

Minecraft is more popular than both of those games.

412d ago 8 agree24 disagreeView comment

Yes,

Go ABK, who is now owned by MS.

Even footing? with live service games? you are kidding, right?

Halo: MCC was more successful than any Sony-owned live service game. Then they have:
Minecraft
Sea of Thieves
Flight simulator
Forza
Gears multiplayer
Halo: Infinite
State of Decay
Elder Scrolls online

All that without A/B.

Is he somehow independent of Sony?

414d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's no different than the 1000s of Xbox low console sales threads... there is at least 2-3 a day in here.

So yeah, this news is fresh, they just cancelled a handful of games by promising developers, and indeed they have little to show for PS5, with the exception of insomniac.

Bungie- Destiny series(dead for a while now)
Housemarque -Returnal
Nixxes- remakes
Bluepoint- remake
Haven-nothing so far
Firewalk- ...

What in blue blazes?

So, let us look at it from another point of view.

MS tried to compete with Sony, but MS lost.

Sony, grows more arrogant, shows that they don't care what fans want, makes bad management decisions, shutters dev teams, cancels games, fire workers, and continue on the live service push.

And you lay that all at the feet of MS? What nonsense! They tried and lost, and Sony is being Sony, a giant comp...

Let me clarify,

Bang as we get a whole lot of gaming news at the start of the year, in close proximity.

So bang might have been a big word, but definitely fun times with all 3 companies showing stuff.

Lol, we might see something impressive...I like gaming shows/reveals.

417d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

Nice, if true All 3 companies starting the year off with a bit of a bang.

Hopefully this year of gaming tops last year.

anast,

Really weak jab, smfh...

SF has been in development way before MS acquired them.

I see the almost hilarious attempt to defend Sony with a poor, illogical comparison, but it just doesn't make sense, and changes nothing about the poor state of Sony's management.

At least SF made it out,(even tho your comment makes no sense), these games will never see the light of day.

Wtf, this is just sad.

People talk about MS all day long, but Sony is no different, they buy these studios, and then either shut them down, fire people or cancel project.

This gen from Sony(and MS) has been nothing but a fiasco, people can pretend that Sony is not coasting pretty much off brand loyalty at this point, because this has been their absolute worst gen so far, miss management, super slow first party support, and a mid gen refresh that is good, ...

It looks noticeably improved and slick, and what they did with the Joycons looks like a huge improvement.

I want to see them games tho!

Day one for me!
