nintendo need to grow up.
nintendo dont seem to acknowledge that the millions of people who made them the successful company they are today, have all grown up. their sensibilities have changed. the average 26-36 year old does not play mario anymore. they are not interested in kirby, yoshi or pikachu. and they are not interested in zelda games with cutesy cartoony art styles.

consoles usually break sales records every generation on release day, so having two in succession will generate massive sales between them. nintendo wont have that advantage this xmas.

no. wiiu only has mario 3d world. even if sony and microsoft had no games, the launch of new tech will always draw a bigger crowd that one game.
who is going to rush into hmv or any other retailer at xmas to look at mario 3d world? no, they will run to see the ps4 and x1 in action. nintendo doesnt even have a demo pod for the wiiu, so the wiiu is screwed this 'holiday'. the only thing you can do is look at the case on the shelf, if they even stock it.

this game has been getting crap reviews everywhere. its simply a crap game

from what i have seen its hardly full of sprawling landscapes as far as the eye can see.. or high res textures and high polygonal objects.
just floating objects in an empty space, with flat shaded/simple textures, basic 3d models. hardly going to take up space.
the music is probably what uses most of that space
the wii was a great console in its own right. it wasnt a secondary console. it has a very respectable library if you do your research.
BUT the same is not true of wiiu. so yes, it is the secondary choice.
people will buy a ps4/x1 for their main gaming fix, while wiiu will be an after thought. it doesnt have to be that way, an nintendo acknowledging that is almost admitting defeat.

wind waker and pikmin are the only worthy titles on that list. and waker is a port.
the other games can be had on other consoles, or are just mediocre/bad.
