well, the wiiu is currently on the sea floor, there are many things the console needs in order to have a chance of floating back to the surface...
1- lose the extravagant controller. first and foremost that is what is anchoring the wiiu to floor, preventing it from going anywhere. its too expensive and simply not important enough to be packaged in as standard.
people say it needs the controller because that is its selling point... well, its been on the market...
haha
4 million worldwide in one year on the next gen console market with NO competition... dismal.
both ps4 and x1 outsold its sales for the entire year in the UK in just 2days. DISMAL.
stop making excuses for nintendo and their wiiu, its not convincing anyone anymore, everyone accepts and acknowledges the wiiu is a failure. even nintendo
its damage limitation now. now we know the wiiu is a failure, what can be done to make it fail a little less?...
check the sales figures for confirmation
a NES controller
ditch the overpriced and extravegant wiiu controller ASAP and drop the price.
OR, offer another WIIU SKU that comes without the aforementioned controller, thus making it a lot cheaper.
develop next gen f zero
develop next gen starfox
develop next gen wave race
secure more 3rd party exclusives
spend some money to secure the MASSIVE franchises such as GTA are on the console.
its obvious. people keep saying that retro had more ideas for a dk game, but having just completed work on dk country returns, i doubt they wanted to go straight onto working on yet another dk game. NO. they would have wanted something new and fresh.... say, metroid!
its quite obvious that nintendo FORCED them to make the game as it would be simple to produce and therefore in the shops fast. also, cheap.
whereas metroid would be a mammoth task that would tak...
difference is, the wiimote was an asset. the wiiu controller is a hindrance.
yes. it would slash £50-70 off the retail price for a start
the pad is practically useless as anything other than a gimmick. its just a luxury that neither nintendo nor the consumer can afford.
they need to ditch the pad ASAP.
yes, because the wiiu is shaping up to be the worst console nintendo have ever put out. i think only the virtual boy beats it so far on utter worthlessness.
judging by its release schedule so far, in its lifetime the wiiu will only have around 6 must have titles.
pikmin 3
mario 3d world
mario kart
smash bros
zelda
X
that is utterly dismal.
it seems obvious to me the reason retro are making another dk game that nobody wanted instead of another metroid game that everyone wanted, is time. it would take considerably more time and effort to make a new metroid game.
the wiiu is up shxt creek without a paddle and needs as many games as it can get, so dk is the quick fix.
anyone who disagrees is in denial.
they will announce a new f zero game for wiiu
cooking with captain falcon: mute city recipies
the new zelda game for wiiu
cooking with link: hyrule recepies
even a year is a year too long. its a bad idea. what a waste of time, energy and resources. promoting luigi, who everyone is already aware of.
it seems they want to hype luigi up, for what? so they can bring out an 'all new' platform/adventure game with luigi as the star, and think that will satisfy peoples appetites for something different? its luigi, marios brother. basically, mario in green who jumps a little higher.
as i said before, instead of ...
if you dont like luigi
like i dont.
two years of luigi... gees. this is why nintendo is losing. nobody wants luigi themed stuff.
we want f zero. we want star fox. we want wave race, earthbound and all the other games you have neglected.
but no, more luigi.
really, going to stop checking for nintendo very soon.
yes, im only going to buy a wiiu for X as its going right now. i also fear the game will be shelved or not make it outside japan
''Try to underline the advantages that the Gamepad brings in gameplay ''
the gamepad is a failure and its holding the wiiu back now. in fact, the game pad is like an anchor, preventing the wiiu from going anywhere.
nintendo guessed WRONG that the games market would be going in the tablet direction. they should have kept their tablet dreams for their next handheld. the huge successes of the ps4 and x1 launches have proved people DO still want c...
1. the price- while the price of wiiu is the cheapest of the three next gen consoles, the perceived value of the wiiu is lower than the price it retails for. to put it simply, even at that price, people dont think it is worth it. this is most likely due to the specs of the machine, which barely puts it beyond what ps3/360 were capable of.
of course, we know the controller also adds a hefty amount to the price tag, but to the average consumer- its just a control pad. so all in...
nothing can save wiiu now. no, not even mario kart, smash bros or zelda. the fans may buy a wiiu when those games come, but the wiiu is still definitely a failure.
nintendo will lose the vast majority of their console market share this gen.
they will have also damaged their brand name.
the chances of games like X making it to the west are very slim now. remember nintendo dragged their feet releasing xenoblade in the west, and that was with th...
