Only if sales were an indication of quality. Dumb people exist in masses, so sales can be high for a pretty shitty game as well. Look at PUBG. The battle royale genre is MADE for people who want that instant gratification. Try to win, die, get immediately back into another match, repeat. (BO4 is better than PUBG btw imo)

The combat looks crap wew.... What is this? And the world feels dead really, like static. Can't really pin it down.

RPG- side quests, uninspired skill trees, extremely shallow branching dialogues.... Stamp of RPG.

A game that has to highlight this as a feature instead of just being featured in the game. Sex does indeed sell.

Jus saw the scene and have just one thing to say- awkward and out of place.

This game is gonna be a huge lmao.

I really don't get how people are excited for such repetitive generic mediocre stuff.

I feel that it's much more tightly constructed with tighter pacing and a better sense of mood. its combat system isnt as varied as 3 and 4, but its as intense and the rest of the game holds up.

Should have released for free. The game was successful enough to warrant a sequel, so they got enough money aside from the DLCs as well

I personally think that games that offer spectacle over substance tend to be a lot more popular which is what most modern gamers who are seeking instant gratification go for. It is rare to find a game with complex mechanics being popular on Twitch unless it is multiplayer. With the superficial nature of the modern masses it isn't surprising.

And in terms of game design, they are practically the same- class based beings that attack the player on certain instincts.

As I have said before, as an open world game it is a 7/10. Basically liking Spiderman and the mechanics is what is going to make or break the game for anyone. I love the game hence a 8.5 or 9/10 from me. Love the combat and web slinging and character, for which I can forget the bad mission structure and open world design for all the side thingies.

They are mundane tasks I agree, but traversing the world is so much fun

1. I have never collected these many items in a game
2. I didn't use fast travel even once during my 35 hour playthrough. (Apat from the time that the story made me use it)

As an open world game I give it a 7/10
But as a Spiderman game it is a 9/10 for me.

Loved the characters, loved the mechanics, loved the atmosphere. Hope they can improve th...

Sorry to say, but this article feels very shallow.

1. Spiderman doesn't quip because he is optimistic, he quips to hide his insecurities. He even quips one on MJ in the game and when she gets angry he says "There was tension". His quips are a way to deal with his troubles.

2. New York is not a sandbox, it's an open world game. Sandboxes are games where the player can alter the game environment according to his/her will (Exactly like how ...

Only attribute Spiderman and Batman Arkham games share are the authenticity of how they portray their respective hero.

I still don't get why Metacritic is such a big deal to people. It has listings of so called sites who say "Darksiders 3 Feels like Faster Dark Souls" (Gamespot).

Also averaging scores is not an ideal method to judge a game.

Doom is 85 on metacritic, still is one of the best games of the gen alongside from Nier: Automata, Nioh, Persona 5 and Witcher 3.
