Games are not a way of traditional storytelling anyways. They are interactive, not passive forms of entertainment where you just go through a story. I hope that player agency increases. In 2014 GDC Ken Levine talked about how a system oriented game could do that but isn't realistically possible in today's scenario.

I do empathise with developers and publishers. But the whole "investors can't wait" is bs.

For about 20-30 years now, we have been getting games, good quality ones. It's only the investors greed that has gotten the situation so bad.

I loved Furi, one of the best action games I have ever played. Hope they make a second game like that because they wrapped up the story. But hey, any game by them will be on my radar.

@annoyedgamer

I totally remember that crowbcat video. Just goes on to show the current gen doesn't hold a candle when it comes to innovation. Rather we are regressing as far the AAA industry is concerned.

The game already looks stunning tbh. Running on a modded Cryengine is no joke, the guys at Crytek were technical wizards in the literal sense. Crysis 3 is still the best looking game till date, even if it isn't as good as Crysis 1 mechanically.

I love it. I think it is the only game I'll be playing apart from my backlog in 2019. I mean I completed the Demo a dozen times and still want to get to know little things, how I can be more stylish etc. I spent about 4 hours in a barely 20 minute demo, so I can only imagine what it'll be like with the whole game and 3 characters to master. (And with possible co-op?)

Same. And I hope that this game is successful enough that Respawn can make Titanfall 3 without EA's hands. Then hopefully TF will get the recognition it deserves.

If anything a comeback year for Capcom tbh....

hey if DMC5 succeeds, he can work on DD2. Hopefully it does well.

On a sidenote- Played the Demo finally, and HOLY. DEMON. Cant wait for full game.

Gerbera (Forgot the spelling) is LUB.

You do not bring about a revolution in gaming by crapping on a company like CDPR. Would probably want some other company to target.

Good year for them Wish them all the success.

I am not boycotting it, but I am waiting for it come to my preferred platform.

Ignorance is at a new high.

They are a legitimate way to strongarm consumers for sure. Instead of offering features that the competitor has, just take the game (Which is the main priority) and shackle it to your platform. PC has always been a platform of options and selecting the one that best suits the consumer, don't consolize it.

Would have agreed if they had cried about The Division 2 (Though that is most likely gonna be a shit game)

Well when you overprice it this is what happens. Should have waited a year and then gone with Raytracing when it was cheaper. The 60 series card jumping from 250 to 350$ shows that

Fortnite money.... All fortnite money. Epic have extrated a lot of cash from dumb people in their flagship game. Now they can afford that 80-20 cut. But hey, let's outweigh the number of sales Epic store will get for the 80-20 profit that Epic.

It'll be interesting to see how much the sales numbers on both platforms for sure. Hey I am all up for competition, just not in this way. I appreciate GoG, but dont appreciate this attitude.

Dont play console party here and keep exclusives to a store just by buying out timed exclusives. Never touching the Epic store with the attitude. At least console manufacturers bought the whole development team instead of shelling cash for each game. Make some games of your own smh.

GTX 1070 finally became the recommended. 3-4 years more left in my GPU. It'll be a good 6 years old by then.

Putting 100 kids in a playground and asking them to kill each other isn't my definition of fun. Anyone can do that. Having brilliant level design, a mind bending story, imaginative gameplay etc stimulate my brain tbh.

I mean I have my "fun" in Just Cause 3-esque games, o there is that too.
