Yeah. One of the bigger gripes DA series fans are having with Veilguard is that virtually no choices from the original game carried over to Veilguard and that there's very little choice/agency in the game, itself.

I'm not trying to be a pessimist. I loved Bioware, going all the way back to Baldur's Gate, but there's nothing in front of me right now that has me actually believing in what a new Mass Effect might be. I'm expecting basically a linear shooter...

Hopefully it's full mod support. They have mod support for the recent console releases of the original games, but it's really low level stuff.

Yeah. Most games don't get demos any more. Especially on console. There's only a few reviewers whose opinion on games I put merit in, and that's because their tastes have aligned with mine multiple times over the years, but even that I don't take as gospel.

All I'm saying is this game failed, time and again, at garnering positive reception. A lot of showings that made many elements of this one look lack luster.

Like everyone else, I'm seeing all these stellar reviews. You can't deny them. But then I also remember how great the early reviews of Cyberpunk originally were, with the game only actually receiving criticism from large outlets after it was in the hands of millions of gamers asking what the hell was going o...

Game is doing better than the 6s and 7s I was expecting from across the board, but there's a lot of divide across the board. Two Youtuber's whose opinions on RPGs I usually use as go-tos for vetting games before I buy - SkillUp and Mortismal Gaming are both entirely on different sides, with Skillup calling the game a giant disappointment and Mortismal calling it the best in the series.

@anast

So explain to me why I don't own the files, please. Why can I do things with the games that I purchased on Steam that you claim I can't. Why do I feel I own the games I buy on Steam, though you always make a point to say I don't. I'll wait.

Sony needs to look at what Nightdive is doing and modernize old games for a new audience. Not take games that sold millions just a few years ago, touch up a few things, then sell it again.

Every major jrpg released seems to have thousands of user reviews on xbox, no matter if it came to gamepass or not, and being that you need to own the game to review, and not every owner is going to review a game, that tells me plenty of Xbox players actually do play and support jrpgs.

Don't say that. The masses on here will hiss at you. Xbox is dying. Everything is going to Playstation. YAY!
.... did I do it right?

Every game I've purchased on Steam I'll always have access to from the age I am now, to the time I'm 90. Same set of files I've purchased on Steam, whether or not the storefront, itself, is alive.

If that's not ownership, please explain to me what I'm missing.

I've already explained how you own your Steam games.

People have been calling out Denuvo for, honestly, I don't even know how many years at this point. It feels like forever. I've seen countless conversations over the years on it. I've seen many people talking about buying a game to support the studio, but just torrenting and playing a cracked version of it.

Denuvo has never gotten a pass from PC gamers. Some people just deal with it because they just want to install a game and play it, but it always had people c...

The funny thing is there's some on here who feel the need to call me a "Sony hater" because I don't lick their boots at every opportunity.

That doesn't change the fact that Bloodborne is a reflex heavy game locked at 30fps (on console), and is aliased to all hell and really deserves a proper re-release.

460d ago 4 agree4 disagreeView comment

Yet we're still waiting for a Bloodborne remake/remaster lol

I played through 2/3 multiple times. I played through the original once, but it felt pretty lukewarm for me. I couldn't be bothered to beat Shadow Fall. I got a couple hours in and just went "I'm done". Never touched it again. It was awesome on the tech side, being a launch title, but it didn't even match up to the first game when it came to actually having fun playing it.

Sony really does need another mainline shooter franchise. They pretty much gave up after the PS3 generation, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried at another high-profile, singleplayer-centric shooter; even if it weren't Killzone or Resistance.

This and Enderal (Skyrim mod) really deserve official releases. The devs deserve compensation for what they've put out, and they should be available for console players. That or, at least, raise the ridiculously small storage limit they have for mods on console so they could actually get the mods.

460d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

It's almost to the point it actually makes sense to maybe scrap this game altogether. Even the mainline Ubi games are very hit and miss - both reception and sales-wise - and this game already has stink written all over it and very little consumer faith in the product.

So you take a team that produced one of your first fresh, and very well received releases in a long while and relegate them to little more than a support studio; one of the games having already spent a decade in development hell with virtually nothing to show of it.

Definitely sounds Ubi.

This is the sort of team you keep around, hand a smaller budget to, and give them free reign to churn you out interesting, AA experiences.

This is a game that I've tried, several times, over the years to get into but something just never clicked for me.
