Many devs have been going back and optimizing their games specifically for Steam Deck with Valve even stepping in and assistant on titles per player feedback.
This, Stalker, and Avowed are the 3 games I'm really looking forward to but every time I hear Denuvo being in game it really is a disappointment. It's always going to result in some sort of performance and stability issues. The question is just how bad.
EA. EA happened to Visceral.
Yeah; this is going to be the official death of Bioware. Though that "unofficially" happened years ago.
Hey, at least their past games will always be replayable.
That's not accurate, but you can keep trying to push that narrative lol
@anast
So that's a lie.
*cough* game still has more content than most of the haters even realize *cough*
Really though, it's easy to just sit back and call this game a "scam", but there really is a lot, and I mean a lot, of content on offer despite not being officially released. It's an easy game to hate on when you haven't actually sat down and looked at what's actually on offer.
There's no denying that it has been a mismanaged project, but that a...

"miniscule return on a few game sales on PC"
You mean the 1 to 1 sales had with Helldivers? Their out of left field breakout hit?
Even outside of that, why would they even bother covering the costs to port these games to PC if there wasn't a market for it? You're literally watching them make money by going to PC, spending money coming to PC, but still claiming there's nothing to be made by being on PC.
@anast
Well, being that something like the Steam Deck, coming in at a 3rd of the cost of your listing price needed for a PC to run these Sony titles, while also being a handheld which brings it's own limitations inherently, runs said games very well. I guess that's step one.
I have no issue with remasters/remakes, but they used to mean something different. They used to be left for games that really could use some modernization and be brought to a new audience as well. Now we take any game that's a few years old, tweak a couple things here and there, and then sell it like something new. And there's really only one player on the field doing this to a tiring degree.
Kids that don't want to share their toys.
Oh, my sweet summer child lol
So that's a lie.
My bad.
I keep forgetting calling people out for being weird and obsessive, in turn, makes you weird and obsessive. Keep on doing God's work.
The fact this matters to you this much.
I think I got brainrot reading into the circles this author was jumping through to make this article. You're not charged for online when on PC, and you pay less for day one games on PC. PC gamepass is reflective of that. It's as simple as that.
It wasn't terrible. It's one of those "if it didn't have this title" sort of games. It's actually pretty solid, but doesn't live up to the rest of the mainline franchise.
Downpour, however, and I'll die on this hill, is a highly underrated game.
Damn. Totally forgot about inSane.
Such a fresh, addicting game.
To be fair, and obviously it isn't ideal, but I also grabbed the console version of this a while back to play on the Series S. Locked at 30, and I really didn't think it felt bad to play. I think some games get away with it better than others, and the slower gameplay had here I think helped it.
Again, not ideal, but if they at least have the game at a locked 30 fps - no dips - it won't be a bad experience. That said, I do still expect more. At least for the PS5...
