To me, thats like saying a car company should be applauded for the car's stereo system even if the vehicle has been blowing engines like crazy.

Regardless, the merrits of XboxLIVE are a mixed bag to me personally. While its a stable service with several great features, it also adds upwards of $250+ to the cost of ownership over the console's lifespan for a feature I get free with PS3. And while there may be more gamers on it currently, I find far too many of them ruin the experie...

I've already got most of my collection of movies/shows on regular DVD.
I've already got some of my favorites on Bluray.
I've already got the PS3 which upscales my DVDs as much as possible.
I've already got a Bluray player with the console I'd have chosen regardless.

So now I'm supposed to care about some half-assed format they're trying to create that isn't as good as what I've already got now?
Guess its time to go back to Beta and Cassettes, and while I'...

When these poorly written and unconfirmed articles (which I fully agree this is) come out, people seem to have short memories about all the previous poorly written and unconfirmed articles we've discussed at length. But lets not use this article to try and slag at Sony, because its no different than the countless "MGS4 might come to 360" type stuff that comes out aswell.

That said, if you ignore this particular article, and you want to discuss "exclusitivity" ...

the History Channel's "Civil War" isn't #1 on that list.

You mean that as a PS3 owner I might not get the chance to pass over "Lost Planet Colonies" like I passed over "Lost Planet"? *sob*...*cry*...I guess I'll just have to buy a game that doesn't suck instead.

but nobody said that.

and I'm not a queer, though you're welcome to dream while you wait for MS to ship your 360 back to you.

1) The sports titles I listed are legit; just because you personally don't like sports games doesn't mean sports game players didn't like those games.

2) So "Ninja Gaiden Sigma" doesn't count because its an update of an Xbox game now? So I guess that means "GhostRecon:AW", "Marvel Alliance", "SplinterCell:DA", "Bully", "Tomb Raider Legend" and so forth aren't technically on the 360 just because they're on the PS2 already...

The Nintendo character colage was sort of spiffy.

I don't see anything wrong with the one bloke's "SEGA" tat.

And was anyone else turned on by the PacMan chick with the saggy covered breats? A few power pellets and you know she puts out....LOL, just kidding of course.

1) I still don't like GTA games (or thier clones) very much
2) There are too many better releases in 2008 to worry about GTA

and even if the above weren't true......

3) Does anyone know what or how good this DLContent is or will be?
4) Has anyone confirmed the PS3 won't get extra content at some point?
5) A bit of extra content on one game won't change my console choice.

you don't want "an honest or decent arguement" because anything anyone says you'll just call fanboyism anyhow.
But if you want the truth as far as my opinion goes, here it is:

1) 90% of the best 360 games are on PS3 anyways.
2) R:FoM, Haze, KZ2 offer me just as much as Halo, Bioshock and Gears
3) I prefer the PS3 exlusives over the 360 exclusives
4) The PS3 is reliable, the 360 is fatally flawed hardware
5) The PS3 offers me tones more val...

How can all you 360 supporters drone on about jealousy of an UNKNOWN project? They didn't even confirm 100% that its a 360 or 360 exclusive project for that matter.

And for all I know this thing is for some lame sequel to a game I couldn't care less about like "Dead Rising" or "Lost Planet" or something.

So what? Maybe Konami is working on a unnamed project that may or may not be on the PS3...lets fight about it!

6539d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Its the same old flawed arguement over and over again; 360 supporters ignorantly talking about how the PS3 "has no games" even though 90% of the 360's "better" games are on PS3 anyways:

CURRENT MULTIPLATS:

Oblivion, DMC4, RockBand, Assassins Creed, CoD4, HL2:OrangeBox, Guitar Hero III, Eternal Sonata, Army of Two, Bully, The Club, Lost, Ninja Gaiden, Darkness, Fear, R6vegas, Ghost Recon AW2, NBA'08, NFL'08, MLB'08, NHL'08, Lego Star Wars, UT3, Turok,...

the Bluray player is not the "only" added value on the PS3, but it is the biggest. I personally enjoy the motion sixaxis controllers. My best friend is addicted to his digital camera and uses those functions. The PS3 also has Video chat via the EyeToy etc.

Keep in mind the context of the comments were related to value. The 360 charges disgusting prices for features you get free on the PS3. The HD-DVD was almost $200 before it became obsolete and $29.99 Play'n'charge kit...

You do realize the only reason the 360 is ahead is from the year when it was the only thing available right? If you compare sales from the day both were available, the PS3 has outsold the 360 worldwide.

Also, the PS2 sold 120+ million units. With the 360 still under 20 million units sold after more than two full years, I think we can assume those 120 million PS2 owners didn't buy a 360.

That was seriously a fantastic post, and I agree 100%.

I'd just like to add aswell, that the price difference of 25% you mentioned doesn't apply to many 360 gamers anyways; by the time they purchase the play'n'charge kits and battery packs for the controllers and start paying for online services, that %25 price difference is nullified.

First it was the 360's year head start that was going to kill the PS3 and then it was the expensive launch price that was going to kill the PS3. Then XboxLive that was going to kill the PS3. Then Master Chief and his Halo3 was certainly going to kill the PS3. Wait, no, its HD-DVD thats going to kill the PS3 isn't it? Well, now its going to be another price-cut that finally kills the PS3 right?..........so how come this "killed" system keeps outselling the 360?

Sony does...

1) Sony is no more arrogant than either MicroSoft or Nintendo has been.

2) The only reason the 360 is still ahead is due to the systems they sold in the first year when there was no competition; since the Wii and PS3 have landed, the 360 has been the bottom feeder.

3) BlueRay toasted HD-DVD, the PS3 is already outselling the 360, and lets not forget the PS2 is still selling well. Sony now has the most impressive system available, the only one with the most current fo...

Of course the supply problems are real; 360s continue to malfunction, and MS has between trying to figure out the issues and build the system more reliably. Add that to having to replace so many bricked units, and its no surprise that they're having supply problems.

2008 does indeed look like a great year for some refreshing stuff, what with "Home", "LittleBigPlanet", and some new "Eye Toy" applications and such on the PS3 side, and even the 360 taking "Halo" into RTS format and getting some quality JRPGS.

Though I still think the PS3 will continue to outsell the 360 worldwide, its definately going to be a fun year no matter which platform you're supporting. (and those that have both with be in bliss) ...

I don't know how anyone can argue against the notion that the 360 is a shooter heavy system. Take one look at the top-rated exclusives (BioShock, Gears, Halo3, Mass Effect, Condemned) and many of the multiplats (OrangeBox, CoD4, R6V, GRAW2, Darkness, FEAR, Jericho, Turok, etc) and even the ones that aren't FPSers have heavy shooter elements to them.

Basically, once you get past the shooters like Halo3, BioShock and Gears, I can get most of the 360's better games on PS3 anyhow, a...
