Gearbox said that as the game neared completion, the level designers didn't have anything to do so they started working on new content. They could've just made this free content instead of making people pay $10 for it.
Only $5 more for the deluxe edition. That's a pretty great deal. Retail for PC is like $65 and for consoles it's $75. Granted, you don't get things like physical maps, but you do still get all the game content including DLC and a digital copy of the soundtrack.
Looking forward to this. It's a great deal through the Four Pack. You only have to pay $33.75.
Ju, that's because of the scale of the game. Games like Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 can do it because they are relatively small in scale, but it would be very expensive to do it in Crysis.
GiantBomb's Quick Look on the PC version of the game made my hype on this game go from "little" to "I want this." This game looks awesome. Definitely will be getting it on the PC as that's the platform the game was made for.
Yes! I've been waiting for this. Hopefully I like it and hopefully the free weekend will come with a sale.
Several achievements were retroactive.
Modding is great to put on your resume since it shows that you're compassionate about the field. Those guys on the Black Mesa team are pretty much guaranteed to be able to find a job in the industry.
Oh, half a million? I think this might be more likely then. Still seems a bit far-fetched, however.
Haha, imagine a DS with a Snapdragon CPU and next-gen Tegra GPU. Beastly.
Sounds plausible I guess... The beta is supposed to cap at a couple thousand, though. Like 50,000 or something. Doesn't seem likely for them to delay Modern Warfare 2 because of a beta with an amount of testers that low.
I'd just like to say that these guys are arrogant, pretentious douches. The way they worded their announcement -- they feel as if they've made an "indelible" mark in the industry. "You should all be proud, we certainly are." Wow. And their use of Latin was totally unnecessary.
Reviews aren't based solely on how long they are.
I hate this lockerz site. They actually hired an ad agency to spam forums.
"For another, it seems entirely engineered to enrage CS Server players."
This is the reason why Minh Le made this game instead of Counter-Strike 2. If Tactical Intervention was named CS2, Counter-Strike fans would be jarateed.
Hardware manufacturers give hardware early to overclockers all the time. But usually only if they're confident that they'll be able to break some kind of record.
kingpin, who I believe is sponsored by NVIDIA and was featured in a couple NVIDIA commercials, gets their videocards before anyone else.
The piracy scene for consoles is big, but not super huge. It's big enough that Microsoft is consistently updating their security and 360 and Wii games occasionally top ThePirateBay's most active list, but it's not rampant or anything.
Modding a 360 and Wii are really easy, btw. Doesn't take that much effort.
Section 8 isn't Xbox 360-exclusive.
This one, the PC version, came out last year. The recently released XBLA version came out a lot later, but has a couple new bonus levels.
Well, it seems nowadays, people are either ignorant or enjoy taking it from behind. DLC sells loads and companies like Activision and EA love money enough to exploit the consumer if necessary.
